"This was disappointing really. We had booked a table but needn't have bothered, the place was pretty empty and they weren't very welcoming. Service was fine but the food wasn't very good - the pizza was below average although the pasta was slightly better. We had garlic bread for starters and it was literally bread with garlic butter spread on top then heated. Pretty average for an Italian restaurant. It was a Saturday night, but within 30 seconds of our leaving shortly after 9pm, they had the lights out at the front of the place and were closing up."
"This place has been around a long time. Word of mouth brought us, and we will be back. No frills decor just adds to the charm. Great food , great service by friendly staff."
"Phenomenal food and service. The pasta was one of the best I’ve had"
"Still going and still epic. Great home style comfort food. Can’t go wrong"
"I really wanted to like this place but the food was pretty disappointing. We had: Simon's special with fettuccini Amatriciana with spaghetti Gluten free Mariana pasta Special Pizza Triamisu Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Limoncello The only thing truly enjoyable was the pizza and the limoncello. The seafood in our pasta was so old my calamari was GREY. when I gave this feedback to the waiter, he seemed to know immediately what the problem was. It was actually GREY. I really recommend avoiding their seafood pastas because none of it is fresh, and appear to be on the wrong side of the expiry date, which is ironic since they are a street away from some of the freshest seafood you can get in Brisbane. I would never return here if it wasn't for the pizza, which although was a little burnt, had some good cheese on it, which saved the meal. Albeit barely. The desserts were atrocious. The home made tiramisu was dry and clearly wasn't soaked enough. Same for the cheesecake, it was too dense and just hadn't been made with any consideration. Limoncello was good. Can't fault that. They clearly have the real limoncello. Overall spent $180 for 3 people. Would not return."
