Founded by Sam and Martha Di Salvo, Twisted Sista was born from a vision to create a fun and exciting atmosphere, coupled with exceptional personalized service. With the launch of our first Twisted Sista in Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Victoria in 2011, we brought a unique twist to the modern café experience.
Martha, affectionately known as the "Twisted" sister of the family, inspired the name of the business. Through hard work and dedication, we were honored with 7 retail excellence awards, including the prestigious "Best Retailer in Victoria" award by Westfield. This recognition pushed us to push the boundaries and see what more we could achieve.
With family at the heart of everything we do, we introduced our daughter Josie into the business, taking it to new heights. Offering something fresh and unique in casual dining, the Twisted Sista brand became widely recognized, and our client base grew faster than we could have imagined.
As second-generation Australian Italians, Gelato runs through our veins. Our authentic Italian Gelato is made with love, using the finest quality ingredients. "Poor quality, quanity and service! I ordered a large thickshake, when I received it they gave me a regular and charged $11.17 for it. I tried the drink, it was the same consistency as water as it was all milk and tasted funny. Not sure if the milk had been sitting out too long or they didn't clean their machines/cups properly. When I questioned that I for $11.17 I ordered a large thickshake and why it was so watery with a weird taste they replied rudely they only do one size and it costs so much because of amount of ice cream they had to use to make it. It tasted weird and was like water hello??? Didn't take the risk of possible food poisoning so the drink went straight into the same bin that their poor attitude belongs in."
"Ordered long black coffee and vanilla slice ( In nz we call the custard squares) and the coffee was amazing and the slice was excellent as you could taste the vanilla custard really enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly. My friend also enjoyed her lemon cake too."
