"Great location & the apartment was lovely. Comfy bed, lots of room, clean & modern. Parking was $30 not $25 as noted on the booking & I found the staff at check in not overly friendly. Thought it was a bit over the top for my partner to have to go down to reception with his ID when it was booked & paid for by myself. Also still chasing my security deposit as it hasn’t been refunded as yet."
"Wasn't a good experience. Just arrived and asked for the late check out to be removed as didn't need it so they had me pay and of course me not realising the total on the eftpos machine it declined. Checked my eftpos account expecting $288 not $375 to be deducted and it kept declining. I was baffled and embarrassed because he kept quietly leaning over the reception going "it's declined insufficient funds". This happened three times and so I kept making additional transfers of money praying thr transfers would appear in my paying account because I really could not understand what was going wrong and those transfers were taking a few minutes and the line up (5people behind) by that time. Finally it approved and I thought how odd. We recieved a check in card with zero details on parking or where to park on it . Just general hotel info and room #. So we parked anywhere . By the time we got to the room and had dinner I was riddled with anxiety with the whole fuss of it all that I asked my partner to drive us home at 6.30 in the night we didn't get home time 8.30 and we were really stressed. Used the room to eat out takeaway dinner and left. I wouldn't stay again. Also had to follow up myself on refund realising the whole payment issue after I got home amd had to email them 2 days later asking for a status update on refund to which they replied straight away."
"The room and the location were great for the 2 nights that we stayed there. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the front reception staff. At no time did they acknowledge us when we entered the foyer, despite my wife being in either a wheelchair or on crutches after breaking her ankle."
"We stayed a couple of nights in a well- appointed and spacious studio (no balcony). It was very comfortable and quiet and had several standard amenities you'd be paying a lot more for in a hotel, e.g. kitchenette, laundry, separate living room. On- site parking (AU$25/ day) was easy as long as you don't leave it too late in the day to find a space; larger cars will find it tight. That being said, the location is super convenient so you'll more than likely leave your car alone while there. Reception was well- presented and clean but really only one team member during our stay felt warm and genuine. All- in- all, really great accommodation and a nice haven to return to at the end of a busy day."
"Staff: Jake in reservations and Mary & Alexis on reception. Truly wonderful people who went out of their way to rectify the room issues. Joanna, very efficient but decidedly dismissive. Room: While spacious, and beds comfortable, the level of cleanliness was terrible. Kitchen not clean, including dishes in cupboard. There was no dish cloth, showers left bathroom floor soaking, glass on shower door had greasy and streaky film. Sofa was very uncomfortable and seated 3 (four in the room). Overall it did not live up to the “luxury” as advertised and lets down the designer brand. No extra blankets provided. Housekeeping: management need to have a stern talk to their staff. I’ve worked in resorts and hotels for years and housekeeping at Alex Perry hotel and apartments is not up to standard."
