Dr Pei Ying Loo

"Dr Loo was rude, abrupt, dismissive and condescending in her approach at our consultation. Dr Loo not only spoke down to myself as if I was nothing but an anxious Mother but she also lacked any interest in interacting with my child. Only days after seeing Dr Loo my child had an anaphylactic reaction and was rushed to hospital by ambulance for treatment. I sent an email to Dr Loo’s clinic afterwards to inform them of what occurred, no follow up or care was shown by Dr Loo in light of the event. Dr Loo was expensive with above average costs for the minimal care she provides; so do yourself a favour and find a qualified Paediatric Allergist who will do everything Dr Loo failed to do including having empathy."

"In terms medical expertise and experience I would NOT recommend this self proclaimed “ allergy specialist” she’s at best a generalist, if that and certainty not someone who enjoys interacting with kids. Dr Loo was quite abrupt and lacked empathy in her interactions with my daughter and was overall quite rude and insensitive in her interactions with us. She made quite a few judgmental remarks of personal nature which was quite poor and unprofessional, especially at a $380 per consult price point you’d expect to deal with a qualified professional. She then referred us to print some stuff off the Google/internet now that certainly took the cake! In terms of the clinic the practice is in a stinky rundown old house next to Mitcham private everything is old and musty very dodgy place. In any case for mums looking for an allergy specialist- I’d suggest to find a qualified one who is actually registered as an allergist and give good doctor Loo a miss."

"DO NOT see this doctor! She automatically assumed my son was on the autism spectrum because he would not give her direct eye contact and he has a shy personality. She left me in tears. I clearly stated I was there for behavioural issues in which we discussed nothing of the sort. Before I knew it she was telling me to go and see a psychiatrist and a speech therapist. My son can communicate very well and didn’t see the relevance in this, maybe just a kick back for her. I wish I read these google reviews before I attended the appointment. Seems some of us are in the same boat. The fee proposal reflects nothing of what the consult applies! $500 for an hour appointment and the reception staff are just plain rude!!! No eye contact, or customer service, maybe they have autism too Dr. Loo?! They even told me I had to lodge my own Medicare rebate, I have not been told to do that since 1996. I hope this is a warning to other potential patients. What I went through yesterday was very upsetting!"

"Tried to charge us dazed new parents $260 for a 10minute appointment in hospital, which we refused. Be very clear on the costs before your consult starts!"

"Very pool experience with them. The reception treats the visitors as the COVID-19 virus, once the doctor is called, only one parent can stay inside the clinic and the other MUST GO OUT IMMEDIATELY!! The Dr Pei does everything in a rush, not showing enough patience to the vistor. Also, she charges much much higher than other paediatrician I visited later. the fee they charged does not match with the service they provided AT ALL."
