"Quite Disgusted. After being offered a session for my son to be assessed for ADHD I was told I also needed to have a session as the parent to share information and background which I totally understood. I was told it was $200 per session, including the 30min online parent session! I was quite shocked that I would be charged for a session that provided me no personal benefit and was only to help them do THEIR assessment that I was paying them for. I politely asked for the booking to be made and to confirm in the morning once I spoke with my husband. They agreed to call me back the next day. After 2 missed calls from 'unknown number' they left a message to say they would call back to discuss - which they never did and I was not able to call them back as the practice is closed and they were calling on an unknown number. 20mins later I received an email cancelling the appointment on the basis that I apparently had not wanted to pay for the parent session which is absolutely NOT true, I had actually said I would be happy to pay $400 for my childs session as I just couldn't understand why I would need to pay for mine. That's is, I simply asked the question and for the opportunity to confirm with my husband. I find this extremely unprofessional for a psychology practice at a time that is already stressful and the industry has long wait times. Perhaps this is a good outcome. If this is how they treat prospective new patients, I shudder to think how they treat and work with actual patients in sessions! Disgraceful! I will be advising all my friends, my GP, our paediatrician and anyone else to avoid this practice - there are plenty of others to choose from."
"We had an awful experience with a "professional paediatrician" and we went to get a second opinion and saw Dr Yiota. I told her about everything with my son, and we had around 5 sessions and was later diagnosed. I am thankful for someone who could see what we saw, and not just push us aside and take our money after one session. My son is now getting the support he needs because of Dr Yiota."
"Getting an assessment done by here has been not worth the time (8 months) financial or emotional strain. The report took forever and when asked why things were taking so long she would become very rude, defensive and very unprofessional. In the end she produced an ok report which was not really finished. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY."
"Ana Paula will make a booking without discussing it with you for a time your child is in school. She will then refuse cancellation of that booking and charge you $100. They will make some story around SMS confirmation and blame you. Not flexible, not reasonable. 0 stars if it was possible. Stay clear."
"Dr Yiota G. was amazing! She was thorough with my son's diagnosis and up front about all costs and appointments that would be required for what we needed. Very responsive to her emails. The official report was incredibly detailed. I am so thankful to have had her help!"
