"Expensive disappointment I went to see Dr Justin to get a help with my complex chronic health problems. I was told by a receptionist consultation will go for an hour and will cost $110 plus $18 for needles. Expensive, I though, but my health is priceless. I came to Dr Justin’s office and briefly presented my long illness story. I said I’m already taking many supplements and I hope to add an acupuncture to re-balance my compromised organs and decrease fatigue. I also said I’d like to be empowered with knowledge about my health from TCM perspective and to be shown acupressure points that do at home as a self care. Being a practitioner myself, I know treatment of any ongoing illness requires through holistic interview, deep engagement of both practitioner and patient into a healing process including a discussion of treatment plan and patients education about presenting imbalances. My interview went for 10 min max. I was told my meridians were imbalanced. Without being asked about my current supplement regime, I was offered another traditional Chinese formulas. I refused. I was taken to ‘communal’ acupuncture area where the other patients sat. Dr Justin put 4 needles on (almost the same needles as patient opposite me had) and told me to listen to the music and washed away himself. After a 10 minutes I was called to a reception to pay. I was handed in a ‘patient pack’ that contained clinic brochures not relevant to my case. I felt very disappointed and ripped off. I hope this review helps you in your future decisions."
