During your visit, our experienced staff will use loupes to visualize your ear canal and determine if an earwax extraction is necessary. If needed, our nurse will gently remove excess and impacted earwax using the micro-suction technique. This method operates like a vacuum, safely clearing the ear of excess wax without the use of water.

The entire procedure takes only 30 minutes and is completely painless for the patient. Whether you are experiencing itching, ringing in the ears, loss of hearing, dizziness, or a blocked feeling in your ears, our professional earwax removal can provide relief.

Excess and impacted earwax can be caused by various factors, such as swimming or diving, wearing headphones or a hearing aid, or spending time in dirty and dusty environments. Using cotton buds to clean the ear can also push wax deeper and potentially damage the eardrum. Some individuals may be genetically predisposed to producing more wax or have narrow ear canals, making it difficult for the wax to naturally exit the ear.

Our qualified registered nurses use dry and effective micro-suction under direct observation to gently remove earwax. Our rates are $145 per session or $115 for eligible individuals such as Pensioners, Veterans, Health Care Card Holders, Children, and Full-Time Students. If no wax is found during the appointment, a reduced rate of $60 applies. Additionally, if a second appointment is necessary, it will be complimentary at all our clinics. We are also providers for St Lukes Health and Health Care Insurance (HCI).

We welcome children as young as 4 years old for earwax removal. However, we recommend having a discussion with our staff prior to booking, as children need to be able to follow directions and keep reasonably still for safety reasons.
