"Hate to write a negative review on somewhere I had previously loved shopping. Over the years I’ve purchased many pairs of boots, jeans, clothing etc. I’ve noticed in the past year or so a sharp decline in service. Staff never seem too concerned over the customers present within the store, once you do receive any service, it’s apparent the staff are lacking skill and knowledge. My last visit was rather frustrating, I had popped in to get one of my pairs of boots sent off for a re-sole as well as purchase some clothing. I was told that I would need to wait to get a quote for the boots, which I happily obliged. It was as if the process was rather difficult, and they where avoiding which I found strange However after waiting 15-20 minutes I advised staff that I will come back later in the day when they weren’t as busy. Upon return, the staff again didn’t seem to eager to help me. They where incredibly vague in what was actually going to be repaired when my boots where getting sent off. Which was very disappointing considering I had spent $380 in repair fees, and would be waiting up to 12 weeks to get my boots back. My visits in the last few months have really steered me away from the brand which has been a huge let down. I’m hoping staff at the chadstone branch can receive some proper training & recourses in order to provide better service"

"Horrible Customer Service Experience. I recently visited the R.M. Williams store at Chadstone and had an extremely unpleasant experience. After purchasing an $800 pair of shoes, I expected a certain level of customer service and professionalism. Unfortunately, the representatives at this store failed to meet even the most basic standards. From the moment I entered the store, it was clear that the representatives were not interested in assisting me. When I requested to see different options for shoes, they were dismissive and rude, showing no willingness to help. It was evident that my presence as a customer was not valued at all. To make matters worse, when I inquired about the sizing of a t-shirt, I was met with an astonishing response. The representative told me to figure it out myself, showing a complete lack of interest and professionalism. This kind of dismissive behavior left me feeling disrespected and ignored. What disappointed me the most was the stark difference in treatment between myself and other customers. It was clear that there was a lack of consistency in customer service, as others seemed to receive far better treatment and attention. This differential treatment was unacceptable and highlighted the store's disregard for its customers. Spending $800 on a pair of shoes is a significant investment, and I expected a high level of service to match the price tag. However, my experience at R.M. Williams Chadstone left me deeply regretting my decision. It is disheartening to see a company that fails to prioritize its customers and lacks a basic understanding of customer service. As a consumer, I believe it is crucial to support companies that value their customers and provide exceptional service. Unfortunately, R.M. Williams Chadstone failed to meet these expectations. I would strongly advise against visiting this store if you expect to be treated with respect and receive the service you deserve. In the future, I will be taking my business elsewhere, where I am confident that my patronage will be appreciated. R.M. Williams Chadstone needs to address their customer service issues urgently, as no customer should be subjected to such a disappointing experience."

"I had trouble getting the right fit for my boots (combination of large and wide foot) initially the online order were too big, then the next pair too small. Kathleen was very helpful in giving me two options to try, I was very surprised they had both these big sizes in stock. I finally was able to get the right fit and look forward to wearing them for many years to come."

"Probably the second best flagship store in Melbourne, just after the Melbourne Central store. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable, keen to always check if they had my size at the back. A wide range of their collection on offer here. I’ve called the store a few times to see if they had a specific shoe and they’ve always been accommodating."
