About the Business
Welcome to Portsea Surf Life Saving Club, located on Back Beach Road in Portsea, Australia. Since 1949, our club has been an integral part of surf life saving on Portsea and the surrounding beaches.
At Portsea SLSC, we value respect and teamwork, as well as protecting our community and empowering strong and resilient leaders. Our mission is centered around the idea of "lifesaving as leadership," which defines our purpose and commitment to creating future leaders. We believe that there is no distinction between life and lifesaving, as the latter shapes the former and cultivates individuals with strength and resilience.
Our club's culture of lifesaving has been uniting our members for over 70 years. We not only strive to strengthen internal relationships but also foster connections with the local communities of the Mornington Peninsula.
We have some important information to share with you. The United Energy Portsea SLSC 2023-24 Nippers Registration will be opening soon, so please log into your Portsea SLSC membership account to ensure a smooth registration process.
In addition to our lifesaving activities, we also host exciting events. On Saturday, August 26th, we will be hosting one of Melbourne's best cover bands, "Covered Up." Join us for a night of great music featuring hits from Pink, AC/DC, INXS, Dragon, Bon Jovi, and more.
For those looking for a modified and structured Nippers program, we offer Starfish Nippers. This program runs alongside our existing Nippers program and focuses on providing a positive and inclusive experience for all abilities.

"Great beach! Not too crowded, ideal for surfing or just swimming. The only problem is that the flagged area is very small. Maybe more life savers? Toilets available at the top, and just one post with two showers...so you may have to wait till you can get rid off the sand. (At least I’m missing another...)"
