At ACSEP, we recognize and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our National Office is situated, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We honor and pay respect to their past, present, and emerging leaders, as well as their deep connection to the land, sea, and sky. Additionally, we extend our acknowledgement to the tangata whenua of Aotearoa (New Zealand) and affirm our dedication to reflecting the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi in our work and practice.

We are delighted to announce that ACSEP, in collaboration with SMNZ, is eagerly looking forward to hosting the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting in Pōneke, Aotearoa - Wellington, New Zealand. This exciting event will take place from 9 to 12 November 2023, and we warmly invite you to join us.

In line with our commitment to cultural safety and inclusivity, ACSEP is pleased to offer the Cultural Safety Training Plan for Vocational Medicine in Aotearoa. This plan, launched by the Council of Medical Colleges and Te Ohu Rata O Aotearoa (Te ORA), will be integrated into the curriculum for medical specialist training. It provides a practical framework for the 17 Aotearoa New Zealand Medical Colleges, including ACSEP, to develop cultural safety education for Trainees and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for Fellows.
