Reviews of ACMI
"I heard this was a free exhibition and I thought why not go and see what it's all about. On top of that I do love me some history AND everything photo/video/film/tv so I had a slight feeling I might enjoy it. Which I did! So much information about stuff I knew a bit about but not everything. It's also very interactive which I saw children enjoying more than once. Also the round thingy to hold against pieces you want to 'collect' and watch afterwards is a nice touch."
"one of the best interactive museums ive ever been to! the goddess power rebellion costed me 10 bucks as a student, the story of moving image is free for everyone:) both of them are really great and there was a gaming experience too. totally worth it"
"Amazing interactive museum about cinema, TV and even a little section on videogames. Children and adults alike will love it! It is free, and operates on donations, which for sure you will gladly make after you discover everything they have. I saw the exhibition Goddess, and it was absolutely fantastic, very very informative and well organised. Fantastic place for a rainy day, I highly recommend."
"This location provides access to a wide variety of activities. Inside, there are many different things to look at and explore. It provides unrestricted admission to its museum, which houses numerous fascinating collections of objects that are certain to pique the curiosity of everyone. This location also features a cafe and a gift shop where you may purchase mementoes to remember your trip by. In addition, there are events taking place in the location, such as free entertainment, singing and dancing competitions. It is a wonderful activity for gatherings of family and friends. Because it is kid-friendly, safe, and instructive, you are welcome to bring your children here. While taking pictures along the way, my buddies and I have a great time exploring this location. Additionally, they give away free collector's cards. A card on which you can tap each individual item, after which you will be able to browse the entire collection on their website. Thank goodness that is not paid for. In addition, there are some events that call for the purchase of tickets. You have the option of purchasing these tickets in advance through their website or upon arrival at the venue itself. Even though I've been here twice, the fact that they manage to keep it seeming fresh and new never ceases to astound me. The first time I visited, I was with my partner, and the second time, I went with several friends. On both instances, I had a good time."
"This is the convenience located at fed square, has ultra handy access to Flinders station and the wharf. Lots of stuff to see from many different eras of light sound and is visually appealing to young and old. There are lots of interactive displays and an awesome way to fill in a few hours and completely forgotten the outside world exists. Most of the centre is free and holds some paid exhibitions. Has access to a gift shop and a small cafe, public toil, ts, etc. Hasn'tt a 7/11 on site. It's spacious and ultra clean and has a cloakroom, and the staff were faultless with their knowledge and assistance. Can't wait to go again."
