Are you tired of carrying deep pain from your childhood? Have you spent years in therapy without finding relief? At Fractal Therapy, we specialize in accessing and releasing deep-seated emotional pain, such as terror, fear, and mistrust, that may stem from experiences of violation or abandonment. Our unique techniques target embedded memories in the body, allowing for profound healing and transformation. Through relaxing sessions and gentle micro physical exercises called Fractal Movements, which are performed in a lying down position, we provide a therapeutic experience that does not solely rely on verbal communication.
If you struggle with anger management, Fractal Therapy can also help. By releasing pent-up emotions, such as anger, our therapy enables individuals to regain self-control and find constructive solutions to problems, rather than reacting with rage and frustration. Our founder, a highly experienced psychologist with a Master's in Clinical Psychology and a Higher Education Diploma, has witnessed the dramatic and immediate changes in clients using Fractal Movement techniques. Compared to traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alone, our therapy requires less effort and produces more effective results.
Understanding the impact of stress on our ability to take positive action, Fractal Therapy emphasizes the importance of clearing up stress before embarking on any project or working towards goals. Stressful states, such as fight, flight, or freeze, inhibit the brain's rational and creative problem-solving centers, rendering traditional therapy less effective. By utilizing developmental movements that stimulate renewed brain growth, both in adults and children, our therapy offers major benefits, including a reduction in feelings of anger and fear. Clients discover greater freedom and joy as they develop an increased capacity to effectively cope with relationships and the challenges of life. Rather than approaching life from a primitive and immature neurology, they begin to feel truly grown up and capable of handling whatever comes their way.
Fractal Therapy's micro exercises are adult adaptations of those naturally performed by infants lying in a crib. Though seemingly innocent, these movements hold the power to bring about remarkable transformations and healing. Join us at one of our convenient locations in Crows Nest, Dulwich Hill, Randwick, Camden, or Windsor, and embark on a journey towards profound personal healing and growth.

"Fractal Therapy I was first introduced to Fractal Therapy as a client. Over the years I had researched and experienced many forms of personal development work for both my personal use and initially for use in my clinical chiropractic practice and then later in my business and life coaching practice. Some were good, many a waste of time and none permanent. My experience of Fractal Therapy with Anca Ramsden was in short life changing. The process was not dependent on my thinking or experience or even my willingness to achieve change. The process is neurological, but the impact is psychological, it brings about the deepest and most permanent level of change possible in the personality. My experience of Fractal Therapy is that it is easy to do, deeply relaxing and best of all the gains are permanent. Fractal Therapy enabled me to overcome traumas from my past so that I could move into a happy and fulfilling life, acknowledging my history but no longer living in reaction to it. For the first time I began to function authentically and from a place of thriving, a state of being that was completely new to me and independent of and unrelated to the specific and often very trying circumstances in my life at that time. In a period when life was throwing many curved balls my way, I was growing stronger and stronger in myself as I progressed in the therapy. The Fractal process is structured in a gentle and supportive way so that each session builds on the next, moving you through stress release and systematically building your emotional and personality development. We live in a world of intense competitiveness, which demonstrates daily that for one of us to win another must lose. The Fractal process enables us to reset and balance our nervous system’s primitive defence states of Fight, Flight and Freeze. By rebalancing our brain’s stress responses Fractal Therapy enables us to be relaxed, confident, friendly and feel fulfilled even when we live in a very tough world. Fractal Therapy……..Create change at the micro level of your nervous system and enjoy the changes this creates in your universe! Veronica van Nierop B.Sc; DC.; M.NLP;N.E.T. "Fractal Therapy is a highly effective and enduring therapeutic approach, in my opinion, both on a professional and personal level. As a psychologist, I have found Fractal Therapy to be a treatment of choice as it can be used on its own as well as complement other therapeutic techniques. Fractal Therapy does not necessarily rely on gaining a thorough understanding of the psychological issue in a way that some “talking therapy” do. Because Fractal Therapy is primarily non-verbal it would greatly help those individuals who struggle for whatever reason to tell their personal story or problems. Moreover, I believe that Fractal Therapy could give those individuals who have already shared their life’s challenges with other expert therapists yet another opportunity for further positive growth. Both on a professional and personal level, I have noticed great profound improvements and a more peaceful way of being using Fractal Therapy. Specifically, it has been shown to help others and me to better manage the inevitable and unavoidable: stress and anxiety, unhelpful thoughts, and outdated beliefs to become more present and comfortable in one’s own skin; that is, a better sense of self. On a social level, it has certainly assisted with developing connectedness, something that is necessary for all us. Nancy Suen. B. Maths, B. Sc (Psych) (Hons) (UNSW). Assoc MAPS"
"I’m a writer who needs to write thousands of words per day to reach my targets of producing several books per year. I've been writing books for over 30 years. In addition I've had to recently deal with many issues regarding my health. I have turned to Fractal Therapy to help me overcome some of my symptoms of pain and to help me boost my goals. I can particularly understand what Fractal Therapy is about - that being things like head movements and how to mind connects when we are in our early growth stages ...before we even learn to speak. Development in these weeks and months is critical to future success or failure. The Fractal Therapy blogs have helped me to understand how I've delt with issues about inner fears and failings and how this has affected my body and responses to fears and anxieties. Going forward I'm excited about using Fractal Therapy as it bears fruit by way of inner release and calming for me. Fractal Therapy has produced big insights for me and extra motivation - and most of that was within an hour of my latest therapy session. What I've gone from is seeing new possibilities to saying "Why not?" to my goals. I’m looking at more sessions as soon as I can to lift my results higher. I encourage anyone who is searching for a method to overcome blocks they have in reaching their goals and to those who desire inner calm to try out a few sessions for yourself and see how you respond. I'm sure you'll find it can work effective results for you too."
"I use Fractal Therapy both personally and professionally. Personally, I have experienced many psychological methodologies to build insight and awareness about the personal and psychological injuries I experienced growing up. Fractal Therapy has given me the ability to recalibrate and integrate both body wisdom and mind wisdom. Fractal Therapy gave me the tools to experience my deepest fear, my inner most terrors, and release them safely. Fractal Therapy also gave me the inner stability and security to experience and explore my emotional injuries, my mistrust of life and people, my hurts around feeling neglected and abandoned not only by others but also myself, and enabled a capacity, a resilience within me to support my way of healing my pain. My experience of the sessions I have personally done using Fractal Therapy have been definitive in how I NOW operate in life which is more healthily considered and more and more spontaneously embodied. My experience of Fractal Therapy sessions were non threatening and supportive of transition from feeling disabled emotionally to being able to respond effectively to what was percievably threatening. What I noticed was the more I trusted the process, the more relaxed I became, the more embodied I experienced myself. I was becoming grounded and resilient, almost like coming home to the self. Fractal Therapy has enable a healing on many layers of my lived experience. As a parent, Fractal Therapy gave me the resources I needed, to mend some of the ruptures that lead to breakdowns in communication with my spouse and children. From a professional perspective, I have use Fractal Therapy with children through to adults. What I witness in clients is a natural maturation that builds into an inner resillence, a groundedness in self. I notice my clients are able to relax enough into the process and this allows a natural deconstruction of dysregulated adaptations that often are stress based, and a rebuilding of healthier capacity to meet life events. I have notice many of my clients using survival, defensive and protective mechanisms that had limited them and their capacity to fully engage with life. Their trauma and often relational injuries kept them small and often angry , acting out in ways that were destructive. Fractal Therapy has given them the potential to thrive and develop, to engage with life in a fuller capacity. Often client says, even after a few session that they feel a difference. Clients say they don't have the words yet and their felt sense, their experience of the sessions has shifted something enough for them to often feel space, joy, happiness, relief etc. Fractal Therapy for me, personally has given my life back, has made it safer for me to embody and engage with life. Professionally, Fractal Therapy has given me an opportunity to work trauma informed, bottom up using top down insight to build new meanings of felt experiences. Fractal Therapy has shown me both experientially and professionally that it works across age groups and life experiences. Fractal Therapy has shown me that it reduces dysregulated stressors that inhibit healthy functioning of the psyche, and it enhances one's capacity to thrive in life. "I like to stay on top of things, I am a business consultant and I run my own business, as well so that means my balanced lifestyle goes out the door oftentimes! There’s only so much space for burning the candle at both ends and when I run out of energy I use Fractal Therapy to ground and centre me. It suits my personality perfectly. I like it because it works on my mind and the mind controls everything, my actions, my thinking, my emotions and that’s where the balance has to be. When I first tried a Fractal Therapy session Anca tested my hearing balance, and I discovered that my left ear was blocked from sound and then after the session my hearing was balanced and I felt more balanced inside myself. I hadn’t realised before that stress was affecting how I was listening to people and hearing. I meditate a lot, but when you’re so stressed you cannot focus properly. I found that Fractal Therapy grounded me and after I could meditate again. Now it has been a while since I have done a session and to be honest, I miss it! I like the music, the use of story and metaphors and the movements. It’s very grounding. I don’t think I would go for psychology that is just talking therapy. This can work on deeper issues too, like emotionally holding back and emotions that one has deep inside. I have definitely been more at ease and happier since I did these sessions, not so stressed out."
