At Green Space, we firmly believe that the parent-child connection is the most powerful mental health intervention known to mankind. That is why we offer clinical psychology services exclusively for children, adolescents, and their families. Our team of highly skilled Clinical Psychologists work collaboratively with parents, families, and children to address a range of mental health challenges.

We strive to create a calm space where families can feel safe, heard, supported, and understood. Our approach is evidence-based and in line with best practices, ensuring that our interventions are effective and tailored to each individual's needs. We understand that raising children can be hard and complex, and sometimes families need professional guidance to help them thrive.

Dr. Amanda Green, our Senior Clinical Psychologist, has over 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents, parents, and their families. She is warm, engaging, and professional. Amanda adopts a strength-based, family-focused approach while offering practical solutions derived from scientific research. With three young children of her own, Amanda has a deep understanding of both the challenges and delights of raising children.

Amanda has held senior clinical leadership positions within NSW Health – Child Youth Mental Health Service and is a member of the Australian Psychology Society. She is also an approved supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia. Her qualifications include a Doctor of Clinical Psychology/Master of Science from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the same institution.

We work collaboratively with children and their families to conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, allowing us to develop a shared understanding of their unique concerns and goals. Based on this assessment, we develop a treatment plan using practical and individually tailored strategies to help families make the changes they need.

When appropriate, we also collaborate with medical, allied health, and education professionals involved in a child's care to ensure coordinated support. We offer child, parent-only, and whole family sessions, as well as school/preschool consultations. Additionally, sessions can be conducted face to face at our Crows Nest clinic or via Telehealth.

Our range of therapeutic approaches includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theories, Attachment Based Family Therapy, Circle of Security, Systemic Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

In addition to our clinical services, Dr. Amanda Green is available for workshops and seminars. No referral is required unless you plan to access Medicare rebates for sessions. As a registered Medicare provider, Dr. Green can offer rebates for individuals with a Mental Health Care Treatment Plan (MHCP) obtained from their GP. Please note that we are not a bulk billing practice.

Some private health funds also provide rebates for psychology services, so it's worth checking with your insurer to confirm. However, please note that you cannot claim a rebate from both Medicare and a private health fund for the same session.

We kindly request that any cancellations or rescheduled appointments be made with at least 48 hours' notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. Medicare rebates will not be available for cancelled sessions.

Our operating hours are as follows: Monday and Tuesday from 8.30am to 5.00pm, and Friday from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
