About the Business
Welcome to the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Amateur Radio Club (FAMPARC) webpage! We are a vibrant and active institution located at Bangholme, River End Road in Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and university, we offer a unique opportunity for amateur radio enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for this exciting hobby.
One of the highlights of our club is our weekly Club Net, which takes place every Tuesday night at 8PM Melbourne Time. This net is controlled by one of our knowledgeable club members via Repeater VK3RMC, providing a platform for communication and discussion among fellow radio enthusiasts. Whether you are a seasoned amateur radio operator or just starting out, our Club Net is a great way to connect with like-minded individuals and expand your knowledge in this field.
Our clubrooms are conveniently located on the South side of the school grounds of Cornish College (formerly St. Leonard's College, Patterson Lakes Campus), Riverend Road, Bangholme. You can easily find us using the Melway Ref. 93 J11. Our address is 65 River End Rd, Bangholme Vic 3175.
We are pleased to announce that the Mornington Peninsula Freeway off ramp to Thames Promenade is now open, making it even more convenient for visitors to reach our club. If you are traveling southbound from Springvale Road, you can now take this link to reach us without any hassle.
In addition to our regular activities, we also hold a Monthly Business Meeting on the first Saturday of each month (except for January). During this meeting, important matters are discussed, minutes are taken, and a Financial Report is presented by the treasurer. It is a great opportunity for members to have their voices heard and actively contribute to the club's operations.
For those who prefer a more relaxed and casual setting, we also organize a Weekend Meeting/Get Together at our clubrooms. From 9am till 2pm, members and new enthusiasts can gather to sit, relax, and chat about anything related to amateur radio. We provide ample coffee, tea, and biscuits to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
On a somber note, we would like to inform our members of the passing of Patricia Pavey VK3OZ. Her funeral will take place on [insert date]. Our thoughts and condolences go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.
For any inquiries or correspondence, you can reach us at our club house phone number 0490 900 279. Please note that the phone is monitored on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. If you prefer to send correspondence via mail, please address it to FAMPARC PO Box 65 Patterson Lakes Vic. 3197.
We kindly request that our Forum Page be used for general chat and discussions, as it provides a dedicated space for members to engage and exchange ideas.
Thank you for visiting our webpage, and we look forward to welcoming you to the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula Amateur Radio Club!
