"Terrible Customer Service Not Helpful at All Very disappointing."

"Allison at Oz Design furniture was incredible to deal with. My partner and I originally purchased a table that was significantly reduced as floor stock. We wouldn't have looked at the table if it was full price due to respecting our budget. We also ordered 8 chair for the table ( they were estimated to arrive mid-late June) After making the purchase on Saturday the table was to be dissembled Tuesday to arrive Thursday. Allison then rang me Thursday to update me that they had found a split in the table when getting it ready for delivery. To fix the issue my partner and I were given a brand new table as a replacement. Not only this but Allison kept me consistently updated on the outcome of the split, photos of what it looked like, and also expected delivery times of new table and chairs. Originally I was told mid-late June; we received BOTH new table and 8 chairs on the 2nd of June and are absolutely in love with the set. I want to say a massive thankyou to Allison for getting us a new table at the same price as what we originally paid and keeping us well informed at all stages. Really happy with product and service."

"We purchased the Rawson dining table based on the display in store. The first table arrived and had bubbles in the resin and was replaced. Then the second table arrived made from 20 thin strips of timber instead of the beautiful, more premium wider planks in the display. They will not replace this even though its clearly made from cheaper offcuts. Its a rip off. You don't get the same quality as displayed in store."

"Staff were all welcoming and friendly, special shoutout to Kate who gave us such an amazing deal, I've worked in furniture and she was so professional and thorough. We didn't feel rushed at any point and she understood our special needs. There's also a lot of Australian timber furniture too which was a very pleasant surprise."

"Sales are not final – staff incompetence may cost you! My partner and I ordered a couch during a 25% storewide sale. The salesperson calculated the total and had her colleague check her working. We paid the 30% deposit and went on our way. Four working days later, OzDesign called asking for an additional $345. Apparently, a “human error” resulted in a miscalculation (something about the ticketed price already including the 25% discount). Given that the store was at fault and we had just spent over $2000, we refused to pay. The manager was uncompromising and spoke to me in a patronising tone that implied I was at fault. She refused to put the order through until I paid for her employees’ incompetence. To be fair, they did return our deposit with little fuss. I did attempt to complain to the owner but he was as unmoving as his manager. He claimed that the deposit and sale of contract are meaningless and that the law exists to protect him and not the consumer (I’m sure Consumer Affairs would reject this). He argued that if the inverse was true (that they had overcharged) then he would be forced to refund the difference. I’m not sure how this logic works for his case though. Avoid."
