Welcome to the Sydney Women's Counselling Centre, located in Campsie on Carrington Street. Our centre is a safe and secure space exclusively for women, managed and staffed by women. This commitment to professional development promotes safe clinical practice and enhances the well-being of both our clients and staff.
We pride ourselves on providing culturally appropriate services to our diverse clientele. Our counsellors have extensive experience in working with clients from various cultural backgrounds, ensuring that everyone feels understood and respected.
We also recognize the impact of social determinants of health, including gender and cultural factors, on mental well-being. Our approach to addressing depression takes into account these important factors, providing a comprehensive and holistic approach to treatment.

"I'm only giving this place 3 stars because of the lovely pleasant receptionist that works there. She was always lovely to me whenever I came in. Always had a smile on her face and was always up for a friendly chat. She was the only good thing about the place and probably the only reason I kept coming back. However, I do not recommend Mary Alexopoulos. She is arrogant, extremely judgemental, patronising and condecending, which is why I stopped coming here. They are also not the qualities someone in her position should have. I don't know what she is doing working in this field when she is clearly not cut out for this type of work and doesn't even seem to enjoy it in the first place. Also seemed very inexperienced and under qualified. Does more damage than good, in my opinion, which is why I ceased seeing her. She once even accused me of shouting at her when I never did such thing. It was quite appalling, really. The lady could do with some psychiatric help and should get some before attempting to help others. She should also be professional enough not to bring her own personal issues to work and taking them out on her clients. She should would be better off taking time off work instead of coming into work if she can't handle her emotions. Anyhow, if you want to come out feeling worse than how you initially started, she is the person to see."
