"DONT GO TO THIS REPAIR THEY CHARGED ME $320 FOR A NEW ELECTRIC COOLANT PUMP THEY SAID IT FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED LABOUR RATE $165 PER HOUR =$330 PLUS $320 FOR COOLANT PUMP TOTAL COST$650 I HAVE THE OLD COOLANT PUMP HERE ON TEST BENCH THE PROBLEM WAS ONLY A DIRTY ELECTRICAL CONTACT INTERESTING. NOT HAPPY"

"We had a mechanical breakdown on the motorway which resulted in the Fiat motorhome ending up at GECS. Despite a heavy work program, they identified the problem which resulted in a complete replacement of the emissions system. Nick and the company were highly professional and got the job done as quickly as the parts arrived. A small tip maybe that communications could have been better considering they were dealing with travellers who were interstate unfamiliar with the area and looking for a clearer indication of when the job would be completed. However this should not detract from the great job they did and would recommend them unreservedly to other Fiat nomads."

"DON'T BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!..You will pay dearly for their incompetence. Upon my initial phone call to Gosford 'European' to get the air conditioning fixed in my Alfa MiTo, Nick quoted "a couple of hundred dollars". He talked the talk on the phone saying they put dye in to see where a possible leak is coming from etc , etc., but they don't 'walk the walk' when it actually comes to fixing the problem. They regassed the air conditioning and I paid $280 and took the car home. It worked for one day, then stopped working again. I rang them and told them it wasn't working and they told me to bring it back. OVER A WEEK later!..they still could not find the problem, and charged me an extra $630!! Franck then said it would cost me another $3,500 to fix the air conditioning including another 14 hours of labour!. So I have paid them $910 and the problem still hasn't been fixed. And they want another $3,500 to fix it! Which I seriously doubt whether they can fix at all, as they seem to have no clue what they are doing. Never again..but an expensive lesson learnt. At least you can read this review and save your money and inconvenience of not having a car and not having the problem fixed, and paying a fortune for your trouble!"

"Worthwhile Reading We would just like to let the general public know, that if there is anyone out there that needs a great specialised team of mechanics to work on any European vehicles, these blokes really know what they are doing, through their sheer excellence and expertise they solved many mechanical problems and finally fixed my fathers beloved 1981 Alfa Romeo, Giulietta 1.8 litre. We are from Newcastle and drove all the way to West Gosford to have all the work completed by them and bring the car back to its original state, as it was when new. My father took the car to many mechanics around Newcastle, had the work done that he had requested and paid for and ended up with more mechanical problems. Through sheer frustration he was seriously thinking about trading it in to purchase a new Alfa Romeo. It was only that I looked on the internet and found Gosford European Car Service, I read the reviews on their website and I was most impressed with the five star rated comments. I rang and spoke to Frank who was a thorough gentleman, helpful and understanding about the sentimental value of my father’s Alfa, when I explained the situation to him about what had happened in the previous years with the incompetence of the mechanics that he had dealt with, who had “promised him the world” and done nothing but leaving him very disappointed, frustrated and out of pocket. Frank and all your specialised team of mechanics, on behalf of my father and myself, it is an absolute pleasure to have met you all, which we’ll highly recommend in conversation wherever we go. It’s a credit to you in executing every job, with a brilliant outcome, and keeping your customers happy and satisfied.
