Dr Segara is an esteemed surgeon who completed his surgical training and obtained a PhD in the Molecular Biology of Pancreatic and Breast cancers at the prestigious Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Darlinghurst in 2006. His dedication to advancing medical knowledge and skills led him to complete a travelling fellowship with the Breast Surgical Oncology Unit at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts in 2007.

Since returning to Sydney, Dr Segara has established Breast Surgical Oncology practices in both Darlinghurst and Double Bay. He has a specific interest in Minimally Invasive/Minimal Scar Breast Surgery, Breast Conservation Surgery, and the Application of Surgical Oncology Principles to Immediate Breast Reconstructive Techniques.

At our institution, Dr Segara performs a range of operative procedures at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, including Image-guided Localization and Removal of Benign Breast Masses using Minimal Scar Minimally Invasive Techniques, Partial Mastectomy, Total Mastectomy, Sentinel Node Biopsy, and Axillary Dissection. He works closely with experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeons to provide Immediate Breast Reconstructions in select patients, offering advanced Oncoplastic Services.

Referrals from General Practitioners or Specialists for the management of all breast conditions, benign or malignant, are warmly welcomed by Dr Segara. Please keep in mind that we have two clinic locations, so kindly confirm your appointment location and time prior to attendance.

For your convenience, public parking is available at St Vincent’s clinic car park (entry on Barcom Street Darlinghurst). We accept various payment methods, including cash, eftpos, all major credit cards, and cheques at our practices.
