"Tim was the best teacher I have ever had. Looking back Tim was a great role model for year 8 and 9 me. It’s a shame I hated Maths more than I liked Tim because I never did anything. But he always helped with my skateboarding projects at the time and seemed to genuinely care about the kids selflessly or without agenda."
"Horrible school!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! I sent my child here 2021 and ever since that decision, that was a huge mistake a made. My daughter experienced situations that no student should ever experience in their lifetime attending school. She was verbally abused by both the math, English and deputy principal teachers. Kyle, Brandan and Julian are one of the worst people I have come across. I have heard other incidents where the teachers have threatened students, I am so frustrated at how this school is still standing after everything that has occurred. This school has covered up incidents and made it look like that it was the student's fault. They are corrupt. Including that Danial of a principal. I am disgusted at this school, my daughter was scared to tell me about what was going on within this school, it took her two years to finally open up to me and tell me the truth about how school is really going, a 15-year-old girl should NEVER experience this at a school. The amount of bullying from the teachers and the amount of lies these teachers has spread is horrendous. Please I beg you, do not take your child to this school, I cannot express anymore at how corrupt this school is."
"Title: Melbourne Montessori: A Personal Tale of Enduring Verbal Abuse and Trauma Introduction: Melbourne Montessori, the school that shaped my adolescent years from Year 7 to Year 10, has left an indelible mark on my life. However, it is not a mark of fond memories and growth but rather a painful recollection of verbal abuse, the absence of support from teachers, and an overall toxic environment. In this heartfelt essay review, I will delve into the negative experiences I endured at Melbourne Montessori, highlighting the reasons why I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this institution to prospective students. A Hostile Environment: Throughout my four-year tenure at Melbourne Montessori, I found myself subjected to an alarming degree of verbal abuse from my teachers. To my dismay, it seemed as though they harbored a personal animosity towards me, targeting me relentlessly with their hurtful words. The constant belittlement, unjust blame, and relentless efforts to demean me took a profound toll on my emotional well-being. Unfortunately, reaching out for support proved futile, as my pleas for intervention fell on deaf ears. The Deposition of the Deputy Principal: Adding fuel to the already burning fire, the Deputy Principal, who was ultimately dismissed/fired, further exacerbated the negative atmosphere at the school. His treatment of students was nothing short of abhorrent, with verbal abuse becoming an all-too-common occurrence. Astonishingly, I became a favored target of his verbal assaults, enduring his hurtful words on numerous occasions. The long-lasting impact of such treatment by a figure of authority cannot be understated, as the trauma inflicted by those in power often takes a considerable amount of time to heal. Lack of Support and Emotional Toll: One of the most disheartening aspects of my time at Melbourne Montessori was the glaring lack of support from my teachers. Instead of cultivating an environment conducive to growth and empathy, they perpetuated an unhealthy dynamic that left me feeling isolated and defenseless. Of particular concern was the English teacher, whose threats of physical harm were completely unacceptable within an educational setting. These instances, coupled with others where I was unjustly blamed and mistreated, further eroded my self-esteem and left me questioning my worth as a student. The Turning Point and the Journey to Recovery: The proverbial breaking point finally arrived during my final year at Melbourne Montessori when I mustered the courage to confide in my mother about the ongoing abuse. Following a heartfelt conversation, we collectively decided that it was in my best interest to seek a healthier and more supportive educational environment. This pivotal change proved transformative, as I experienced a remarkable improvement in my academic performance. The absence of verbal abuse and the presence of supportive teachers played a pivotal role in my newfound success, allowing me to truly thrive academically. Conclusion: Regrettably, Melbourne Montessori failed to provide the safe and nurturing environment necessary for my educational journey. The continuous verbal abuse, lack of support, and toxic atmosphere deeply impacted my emotional well-being, leading to daily anguish. As a sincere reviewer, I cannot, in good faith, recommend this school to any prospective student or concerned parent, as my personal experience highlights a clear disregard for the welfare and educational growth of students. It is my fervent hope that my candid review serves as a cautionary tale, prompting educational institutions to prioritize the mental and emotional well-being of their students above all else."
"Both my sons attend Melbourne Montessori and it has been a eye opener to what children are capable of when given individual space, time and encouragement to learn. They have both thrived in this well balanced environment and developed this deep love of learning that I know that they will carry for the rest of their lives."
"My son started here at 3 and now in his final primary school year. We have absolutely loved what Montessori have provided for our son. He has thrived, grown and developed a love of learning that hopefully he carries this through to his high school years and beyond. Our son has also loved his experience and time there. We are most appreciative of what the school and teachers have provided. Love the Montessori approach!"
