AMC Psychology is a private psychology practice located in Wetherill Park, Australia. We provide a wide range of psychological services to children and adults throughout South Western Sydney. Our team of experienced psychologists are dedicated to providing evidence-based interventions to address various concerns such as anxiety disorders, depression, coping with stress, behavior management, and more.

All of our psychologists are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and hold Bachelor, Honours, and Masters level qualifications. They are also proud members of the Australian Psychological Society. Our practice works closely with several government and independent schools in the area, ensuring that we stay connected with the community and provide the best possible care.

At AMC Psychology, we offer individual therapy for all ages, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices. Our psychologists also develop and implement skills-based group programs tailored to the specific needs of children. These groups focus on areas such as social skills, anxiety and worry, adjustment, and understanding and accepting family differences.

In addition, we provide comprehensive psychological assessments for individuals of all ages. These assessments cover a wide range of presentations and can be administered to individuals from birth to 90 years old. Our assessments provide detailed analysis of intelligence and cognitive function, behavioral difficulties, academic ability, adaptive functioning, attention and concentration, learning, and memory. We also offer specialized assessments for individuals with hearing and/or language impairments, or those who do not speak English. Further specialized assessments are available for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

AMC Psychology also offers consultation services and workshops for parents and school staff. These services are frequently engaged by teachers and learning support staff in areas such as behavior support, school readiness, and preventing burnout. Consultations can be one-off sessions or part of an ongoing consultation model.

For those interested in seeking our services, we welcome private-paying clients. However, we recommend visiting your GP as you may be eligible to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan, which entitles you to up to 10 subsidized sessions with a psychologist per calendar year.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. Personal information disclosed to your psychologist is kept confidential and cannot be shared without your written consent. There are certain extenuating circumstances where confidentiality may not apply, such as when there is a risk of harm or when legal matters require a court-issued subpoena for the psychologist's records.

Please note that we do not provide bulk-billed services. Unfortunately, the majority of our psychological services attract a small gap fee. However, if you are facing financial constraints, please discuss this with your psychologist, as arrangements can be made to ensure your continued care.
