"This morning at 7.45 I went to copper pan at St Ives. I ordered a 2 coffees and chicken pie and almond croissant to take away. It took 30 minutes to give these things. I also asked if the pie and croissant was fresh and I was told yes. If it is why does it have to be put in the microwave and own? Inside Almond croissant was cold and not at all flakey."
"A tasty and well presented breakfast. Coffee was hot. Hygiene issue: Food build-up and main plate was only noticed when I finished the meal, disgusting (see photo). Main plate also had discolouration towards the lip, not sure what it was. Have to question the wood platter also regarding hygiene."
"I ordered a takeaway sausage roll and beef pie. The staff accidentally smashed the glass door on the back of the presentation cabinet which understandably delayed things. The quality of the sausage roll was poor, burned on top, hard and chewy on the inside, I was not a fan considering it's $15.50 for the two items takeaway. My son enjoyed the beef pie. I'm pretty sure last time I came here with my brother who is coeliac and he really enjoyed it - so I guess the feedback would be to avoid the sausage rolls. I do like that this is a locally owned and run business, which puts back into the community and sitting in the cafe definitely feels like a break from the everyday."
"Today I journeyed to the village looking to indulge in a lunchtime meal, only to be met with disappointment. Whilst the service was friendly and nice the food was not. I ordered a schnitzel burger and chips whilst my accomplice ordered a chicken cheese melt. As for drinks, we both opted for a Nutella frappe which whilst on the pricey side was a pleasant surprise. The chicken cheese melt came out cold, missing tomato, and soggy. Traditionally a "melt" refers to a toasty whilst what we received could only be described as a singular slice of avocado on bread, with "Cold Funky Chicken(Ben Browne 2023)". Additionally, I received my schnitzel burger 10 minutes after my friend's meal arrived and was disappointed. The schnitzel was overly oily and lacking real flavor, along with the overall serving size being too small for an intermediately priced product at $19."
"So many coffee shops to choose from, but after looking around, the Copper Pan caught my eye. It is simple, old-fashioned, and not spoiled by modern developments, in a way that is typical of the countryside. Seats are comfortable, water served when you sit down and even down to the unique serving of the orange juice. Congratulations, your efforts are appreciated. I am in the area for the next four weeks and look forward to returning to the Copper Pan to give me a great start to my day Thank you Master Paul Mitchell Founder United Taekwondo"
