"We were very disappointed by the care provided toward our son at this Centre. We initially thought that we had a collaborative relationship with this Centre in looking out for our sons needs. We worked together to propose a plan to tailor to our son’s nutritional needs, which we have since found was not followed, despite numerous assurances. It was when our son had multiple bruises on his head-a specific behaviour he engages in when stressed, that we challenged whether the Centre was adhering to our requests around our son’s dietary needs. In meeting with them, we found that they had restricted access to his bottle of milk despite our agreement and explicit instructions. We addressed this on multiple occasions with the staff, room leader and then management-getting different information/agreements each time. This was very distressing for us as parents trusting them to give him the best care and compounded by our son being neurodivergent and unable to communicate with us. Even after having our son’s Occupational Therapist visit the Centre and a letter from our son’s dietitian did they take our requests seriously. By this time, trust had been broken that the Centre would be inclusive of our son’s needs. We found their behaviour was punitive in nature. Our son deserved to feel responded to, safe and comfortable that his most basic needs would be addressed and were alarmed when his basic need for nourishment was overlooked/not provided. We have since chosen a different centre and had a completely different and inclusive experience. Our son has blossomed and we have felt respected, informed and understood that these basic requests were not unreasonable but necessary to help our child feel secure enough to thrive."

The educators sends us timely updates and whenever I call in, no matter how many times I call, they happily give me a full update of what my daughter is up to. I have seen my child thriving since the day she joined Reggio Emilia and it has been about an year now. "Taking our daughter to childcare was a very daunting period in our life. It was a very scary step forward in our life as I was on maternity leave and a stay at home mum. George St staff were very empathetic, caring and guided us through the process. Admin staff Kumu answered all my questions and has always been a pleasure to deal with. My daughter is in lily room and I can't talk high enough of the educators. They provided me with courtesy call every day for the first few weeks, they were very supportive and so caring for my daughter,I was rest assured my daughter was in good hands. In the few months she has been there she has picked up on so much English as its not the first language we speak at home, my daughter has developed immensely in language and loads of other skills. On the weekends she continuously mentions the names of her 3 educators, Miss mina, Miss Frida and Miss Aria. My daughter loves all 3 of them and the educators show alot of love in return, always supervising, teaching, supportive and playing fun activities. We are so happy we picked this firm, the location is great for us, the food is a great healthy variety and overall fantastic. The educators welcome us every drop of and pick up. At pick up they provide you with information on the day what they ate, how long they slept for and the application is updated daily with their activities and photos."

In the 1 and a half years my child has attended, I have had the most amazing experience. My daughter has flourished and looks forward to go to daycare. The staff are so caring and genuinely love the kids. They make an effort to tap into my daughter's interests as well as helping her develop areas that need improvement.
