Reviews
"Such a special place for a light lunch, great conversation, and some art. Love it!"
"Special art gallery that meets it's goals is supporting local cultures from before and after Europeans arrived. Great cafe to support. Rooms on two levels with art and histories to enjoy a and learn about. Coming with a group? Phone ahead and reserve one of the cafe's larger tables. Lift available for those who prefer not to navigate a narrow stairway to the upper floor."
"I enjoy coming here. The grounds are lovely and the building is beautiful. Always has some interesting art work. Unfortunately only food now available is sweet or savoury scones, which thankfully are delicious. Coffee very nice too. Only thing is the acoustics are quite poor so if you have loud people in the dining room, everything echoes and can be annoying. Certainly worth going to though."
"A remarkable treasure of a building thankfully spared the wrecker's hammer and beautifully restored. Well worth a visit for the architecture alone. Contemporary art presentations come and go. Excellent licensed tea rooms offering affordable food and drinks."
"A very interesting building housing interesting art. I loved the art quilts and the early colonial pottery on display. Fabulous ceilings and stained glass windows. Loved the early ventilation system in the form gets off the room's and the internal staircase. Set in a park like garden with some very old sacred trees. The cafe had a great menu and great coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A lovely afternoon."
