Werribee South Foreshore Cocoroc, Victoria 3030
About the Business
Welcome to Werribee South Foreshore, located on the western edge of Port Phillip Bay in Victoria, Australia. This hidden gem is one of the untouched bayside regions in the state, offering breathtaking views across the bay with the stunning backdrop of the You Yangs Regional Park.
As an establishment and point of interest, Werribee South Foreshore provides a range of leisure activities and facilities for visitors to enjoy. Whether you're into boating, canoeing, kayaking, or jet skiing, you'll find everything you need here. In fact, we are proud to have one of Melbourne's few jet-ski ramps conveniently located in this picturesque environment. Families can also make the most of our picnic areas, walking trails, fishing spots, and playgrounds, creating the perfect setting for a fun-filled day out or a peaceful place to unwind.
One of the highlights of Werribee South Foreshore is the Werribee River Estuary, where the mouth of the Werribee River meets the bay. This area is part of the significant Western wetlands that stretch from Altona to Avalon Beach. It is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, offering a unique experience not found in other parts of the bay.
What sets Werribee South Foreshore apart is its surroundings. The foreshore is encompassed by the Werribee South market garden region, known as the broad leaf vegetable capital of Australia. With over 3000 hectares of cultivated land, the foreshore maintains its unspoilt and rural charm.
At Wyndham City Council, we acknowledge and respect the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first Peoples of Australia. We specifically recognize the Bunurong and Wadawurrung Peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which Wyndham City operates. The Wadawurrung and Bunurong Peoples have a deep connection to the Werribee Yalook (river), creeks, stars, hills, and red clay of this Country. We pay our respects to their Ancestors and Elders who have always cared for Country and community and will continue to do so for future generations.
Come and explore the beauty and tranquility of Werribee South Foreshore. Whether you're seeking adventure or a peaceful retreat, our untouched bay side region promises an unforgettable experience.

"Best place to observe sunrise and sunset at the other side and if lucky, aurora rarely.. sand not so good for kids though.. observed motor boats, fishermen… has bbq area.. beautifully developed seashore.. play area for kids.. parking space but usually observed full.."
"This is the point where Werribee River falls into port Philip bay. It's a very nice place to walk on a nice trail along the sea, you can reach via Diggers road, a very nice road only 18 minutes from Werribee. I would appreciate the council to maintain this place with a lot of fun activities for kids and bbq areas. This is the starting point to Werribee south and east beach. There is a caravan park next to this place if you want to live overnight and the best thing is that you can catch a 439 bus public transport to reach here."
"Great place huge potential. Needs some prioritised investment for the government and local council. Could be a gem in the west."
