"Absolutely delicious food, every dish we ordered was cleared off the plate. Excellent service by the family. Had a fun and enjoyable time."
"The bosses are back to manage the joint and one of them is a good cook and she ensures the food served at top notch quality before been served to customers . Service is the best in town for an Asian establishment, very friendly, courteous boss. .they serve the best Xiang cai in Melbourne & so far every dishes ordered are incredibly delicious and good . A great restaurant with fantastic food and service which is rare in Melbourne nowadays!"
"Yangcheng Restaurant is the best of Xiang style (湘菜)restaurant in Melbourne. For most overseas Chinese restaurant, it's hard to keep the taste as same as in China. It keeps Xiang style as it should be. Service is perfect too. Price is reasonable. Should mention that, make a booking first before you go there."
"Edit: ridiculously slow service, I cannot imagine why a plate of steamed pork can take up to 30 minutes to be cooked, do NOT order their noodles, it's tasteless. Most of the other dishes are fine though. Good tasting Chinese Food with middle above high prices. The service are generally reliable and fast. Free parking is at the back of the store (turn east at the traffic light at the south of the restaurant and it's on the left side). Some dishes like the stemed fish head is slow but others are fine."
"Was not as good as expected after reading other reviews. Food was ok but nothing special. The fish head was steamed to perfection however barramundi is not the best choice for it and sauce is pretty much just the steam fish soy mixer that you can but from Asian grocery. The pork was undercooked , tough. Pickle turnip for the chicken is undercooked too, has no flavor just like a pickles turnip out from the package. More like a family meal cooked at home other than restaurant. Can not really fault any dish we had, but it just a bit not there yet. The service is better than the average Chinese restaurant."
