Dr Maree Flaherty - Children's Eye Centre 73 Darcy Road, Wentworthville, New South Wales 2145

"I am absolutely appalled by our experience with Maree Flaherty today. After the eye drops were instilled, my 2.5yo was already distraught by that experience so heading back into the practice after a break you can imagine she was still upset. She sat in Maree's chair and she had no compassion or patience, just blatantly said "we are going to have to hold her down", sighing and huffing and puffing when my daughter was upset and not cooperating. I asked her to talk me through what was going to happen then I could explain it to my daughter and give her some time to process. She huffed at this too but ended up explaining the process to me - if I can't even understand the process how can she expect a 2.5yo to. Anyway after 5 mins of trying to calm my daughter and explain the process we abandoned the appointment and as promised to my daughter I said we would go to the playground, Maree then proceeded to say "I don't know if she deserves to go to the playground after that poorly behaviour, but it's up to you", and I replied with "yes it is up to me" and walked out. Do not bring your children here please. Save them the trauma."

"My daughter was miss diagnosed here and the doctor was completely blaming us as parents for exposing her to TV, which we barely did. I didn't like the service overall and left her office crying that day as she told us that my 18 months old was short sighted and needed to wear glasses all the awake time for the rest of her life starting immediately. We didn't feel very confident about her diagnosis due to which we decided to get 2nd and 3rd opinion. Both those checkups came back as normal. Our little one is completely fine as per 2 other doctors and doesn't require any treatment. What a waste of my money and the mother guilt that she put me through. . ."

"Fantastic service and knowledge by Dr Maree Flaherty and staff. From the moment we entered the practice, the reception staff were kind and welcoming. Dr Maree and her staff were patient, caring and extremely knowledgeable in their field. They took their time to explain the tests and results to both myself and my daughter. I am extremely pleased with the treatment and care my daughter has received from this practice."

"Dr Sandercoe does not care about my child whatsoever. Paid $160 to be told absolutely nothing. Still no answers, he *thinks* she may have Duane syndrome but has not stated what plans there are to help her. I asked about surgery but was told she is fine? How is she fine when she has Possible Duane syndrome? I don’t recommend anyone coming here and I will be going elsewhere with my daughter."
