"The designer was great, but the project management of the installation was nightmarishly slow and uncommunicative. It took about 3 months to install instead of the promised 2 days. They made an error in the install and then dragged out the fix - when you'd expect a more responsible approach. This was the most expensive of all the kitchens we were quoted, but the money was all paid before the install, and then the level of service dropped off dramatically. Their staff would show up occasionally at short notice, without the necessary parts to complete the job. Weeks would pass without hearing from them. We were not updated and had to keep chasing for progress. The process was disorganised and unpleasant. Providing a basic level of communication would have gone a long way to reducing the bad experience. The final straw was when we agreed to a post-installation quote to add 2 shelves for $3.5k. Despite the torture of the install we figured we had to go back to them in order to match the existing kitchen. After a handful emails exchanged, confirming the job to be exactly as quoted, they suddenly decided to change the price to 8.3k, which was beyond absurd. We have since heard that others have also had bad problems with their installers. The kitchen itself is fine. The process of getting there shouldn't have been so awful. And the kitchen is incomplete because of their price change. So it was a very disappointing experience that I wouldn't wish on other customers."

"DK Kitchens redesigned and installed our kitchen 7 years ago. We were absolutely thrilled with the work they did. Just recently we needed to replace our fridge and the new larger fridge we wanted to purchase would not fit into the current space. DK Kitchens trimmed the cupboard doors above the fridge in line with the bottom shelf of the cupboard. Thank you for the excellent after sales service you provided in such timely fashioned. "You pay for what you get. In our case a product and service that far exceeded our hopes. What could have been a long drawn out and chaotic affair was simply a dream. From Demolition to a usable kitchen was 9 days. The final touches were done within the following weeks. We chose to let DK co-ordinate the tradesmen and they were just outstanding. Again not inexpensive . The trades were paid separately and were at the pointy end of prices BUT they appeared when needed, were clean , precise and responsive to changes. From the designer, Lara, to the installer , Marco ,we had 5 star service. Also Michael, the owner turned up repeatedly to see progress and smooth any difficulties. We had a major change that was accommodated, without a charge for a variation. This alone on top of the aforementioned positives justified their pricing. Thks guys."

She gently steered us to the best colour scheme and appropriate use of regroove panelling. The functionality is just right - I cook every night and it's made my life much easier.
