"BEWARE lack of spare parts (6 month wait) means you have to replace your dishwasher even with a minor breakdown ($17 part) My wife and I are self funded retirees and rely on income from a rental property that we have in Newcastle, the house is only 5 years old and the kitchen was fitted with Hafele appliances at construction. Several weeks ago our Hafele dishwasher stopped working I contacted Hafele who advised they didn"t have a service person nearby so I arranged for a local specialist, who advised that it needed a new start capacitor but was advised by Hafele that the $17 part wasn't in stock and they had no idea when it would be. I thought this cant be so, so I contacted Hafele customer service who very nicely confirmed that the part was 20 weeks away but they would try to sort something out for me as being a rental property I had to either get the dishwasher going or replace it with a new one. I have now contacted Hafele every working day for the last week each time a nice person has promised to get back to me but unfortunately no one ever does. I guess this is the big problem with boutique brands, great as long as they don't breakdown. I now have to throw my Hafele away, spend $850 for the service and replace it with a cheap replacement. APPALLING."
