Reviews
"Friendly staff and professional specialist. There was a lot of explanations during scan and answer all of our questions."
"Receptionist was nice. However the gynaecologist made me feel very uncomfortable, lacked empathy and I felt ignored. There was no privacy for me to get dressed after the scan. Will not be returning after such a vulnerable experience for me felt so judgemental."
"Very disappointing experience. I went here for my 13-week scan, and they gave me a report that shows everything is going well, and in 15 weeks, I lost my baby .The hospital doctor told me that the baby had stopped growing at 11 weeks."
"Terrible experience, I thought this is more specialist in women scan. However, when I booked an early structural scan in 12 weeks, they didn’t told me I should book after 13 and half week, until I had the scan. The ultrasonologist told me it is not clear as only 12 week, you need to come back and do it again, and said to the receptionist that it is only a dating scan, however, when I questioned about it I am here to do structural scan not dating scan, than the receptionist asked the Doctor, she said it should be 13 weeks and half to do this scan, it is not clear, but you can set this as a earlier structural scan. All this conversation were done in front of me. What???? I was very upset m, angry and feeling that it was very unprofessional. It will be better if you told me before I do the scan as I had to pay $300 for this scan which is not cheap. Obviously what they do is not what I pay for. I don’t think I will go back there again."
"I used to go to I-med for my antenatal scans as it was fully covered by Medicare. One of the scans there showed a low abdomen circumference for foetus and Dr recommended a scan at Northern women imaging Hornsby as they are more specialised in this area compared to the other clinics . I did overall 2 scans there afterwards and they marked everything as Normal. As per their scan report the abdomen circumference was normal. I had GD and the doc was relying on the scan report as well for the treatment plan. The predicted weight of the baby during 32.5 week scan was close to 3kg. I went to labour around 37+3 weeks and the baby weight was only 2.1kg and Abdomen circumference(AC) was on the lower side. Even doctor was also surprised with the scan report data . Especially, when there was an issue pointed out with the foetus AC being low, not sure how all follow-up reports gave a normal measurement. Again, we totally understand practical difficulties in getting accurate measurements with scan. Giving 3 star because the scanning doctor and staffs were very friendly and explain everything while doing the scans (which I missed at i-med). So definitely extra personal care for the money we are paying from our pocket."
