"I booked in a pregnancy dating scan. The phone staff was very kind and efficient. Was given 10:30 am (23/11/2022). Went in at 10:15. Unfortunately here is where the negatives begin. No one was available to meet and hand in referral. Sat for around 20 mins not knowing what to do next. Room 11 (x-ray room) door opens,I rush to talk to someone. I explain that my appointment is at 10:30. They take referral and say you will be called. I wait until 11. Bladder is on the verge of exploding because I drank 1ltr of water at 9:30. Tried my best to hold it. A lady walks out I hoped it would be me next, but she goes to another section for something else. When she returns, I tell her I have drunk water and find it hard to hold it, for which I got told, 2 more patients before me. Which would mean at least another 20 to 40 mins wait. I asked back for my referral and ran to toilet, while on the toilet called Medscan and booked an appointment for the next day. First and foremost, when your patient has a scan that requires a full bladder you need to understand that they can't wait for very long. I understand that things don't go to plan somedays, in that case please have the coutsey to tell the patient the wait is going to be much longer than expected and give us an option to relive ourselves and may be drink water again. Next, learn empathy and customer service because medical professionals need that to help their patients in a meaningful way. I booked my scan with you because of the good reviews, unfortunately my experience was not anything even close to 5star. I hope you take this feed back on board and make the necessary changes.
