Welcome to the Tanya Pearson Arts Centre, located in St Leonards, Frederick Street. As a premier ballet academy with an international reputation, we are dedicated to providing elite professional dance education to aspiring young artists in Australia and worldwide.

Established in 1971, the Tanya Pearson Academy has been a leading institution in the dance industry, with founder Tanya Pearson being recognized by the Australian Government and awarded the Order of Australia Medal for her significant contribution to the Arts in Australia. Our mission is to create a nurturing and inspiring environment where young dancers can develop their creative talent and artistic voice, empowering them to fulfill their potential as unique contributors to the art form of dance.

At the Tanya Pearson Arts Centre, we offer a wide range of programs to cater to different levels and aspirations. Our selective Part-Time Programs, Transition & EAP Programs, Boys Ballet & Dance Programs, and accredited Full-Time Programs provide world-class training and education for dancers of all ages. Our faculty consists of over 30 highly respected teachers and choreographers who are dedicated to nurturing and guiding our students towards success.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new youth ballet company, the Australian Youth Ballet! This is an incredible opportunity for young dancers to showcase their talent and participate in professional performances.

In addition, we offer workshops throughout the year, including our upcoming TPA WINTER WORKSHOPS 2023. These workshops provide a unique opportunity for dancers to learn from renowned Ballet Master Olivier Vercoutere from the Bavarian Junior Ballet Company.

We take pride in the success of our graduates, who have gone on to achieve great things in the dance industry. From winning prestigious competitions such as Prix de Lausanne and Youth America Grand Prix to being accepted into renowned schools like the Paris Opera Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School, our alumni have proven themselves as exceptional artists.
