"I was really excited to see an Ultra beauty in the CBD and decided to browse and see what designer fragrances are in stock here. As I was leaving the store I heard the security guard yell “do you have a receipt!” I continued walking out as I didn’t think he was actually yelling at me, he then followed behind me and again yelled “excuse me, do you have a receipt!?” Completely confused I said “for what? I didn’t but anything?” Which he had no response to and then requested to check my bag. I understand he is doing his job, but a simple bag check from the start would have sufficed. Being yelled at from across a store is absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing. Definitely won’t be coming back to buy fragrances here when I can receive better respect in other stores that carry these brands."

"This review relates to Coburg Market - Chemist Warehouse. I recently attended my dermatologist to obtain some urgent prescribed skin ointment. Well Sam Gance, I have some more wise advise for you. Not only did the pharmacy not have the ointment, they then tried to sell me the generic pharmacy brand, despite clearly telling them that I do not support generics. Why? R&D and competition is good for the industry, patients and consumers. I understand margins, government subsidies and pharmacist recommendation underpin the final price at the point of sale, however values also influence customer loyalty. I made this view clear to the Pharmacists in attendance. I refuse to give Mr Gance further profits, especially after Chemist Warehouse and their Leadership team have refused to engage and hire diverse and talented WoMen #ME. We talk about addressing and improving the wellbeing and health of our population, but as a nation and business community we are far from meeting the needs of Australians. Mr Gance, I can see you have yet to locate the navigational fins in-store and online to address ease of shop and convenience. Let's talk a global footprint and other aspects of the healthcare continuum. #foodforthought"

"I was looking around to find something nice to buy for my family but one staff (black, tall, bald, maybe security) told me to put things that I already took at the counter and I overheard this guy told the cashier (Indian) something about me looking suspicious because I was looking around. Please put a signboard "Please don't look around the shop" next time so people will know. Nevertheless, Chemist Warehouse has always been my favourite shop whenever I visited Aussie or NZ."

"A while back I was trying to track down a Guerlain cologne and it was only available at a CW store quite far from me. A staff member from this CW at Paramount collected it and brought it with them to work as a one-off inter-store transfer and gesture of kindness - I believe they lived close to where it was in stock. This was phenomenal service : )"

"I don’t normally review stores, but had to share my experience here. I walked in with a swollen eyelid and they (including the actual pharmacist) tried to sell me everything from cleansing wipes to ibuprofen to lubricating eye drops to antihistamines when they had no idea. Decided to go my doctor instead we took a look and recommended some cream, which is all I needed. Went back to Chemist Warehouse to buy the cream and the same staff made me wait 15 minutes. While waiting I saw a poster (photo attached) behind the counter encouraging staff to be friendly and upsell everything - “always add on and upsell” as the motto. No wonder they tried to sell me the works earlier. Lesson learnt is don’t trust anyone at Chemist Warehouse - all they want to do is upsell. Most disappointing was the pharmacist’s behaviour who, as a professional should not have behaved like a used car salesperson."
