Established in 1994 by 6th Dan Black Belt Matt Klein, Australia's Youth Self Defence Karate aims to improve children's self-esteem, confidence, and fitness through martial arts. "Sensei Matt" saw a need for fun and affordable karate classes for kids in Sydney, and our institution was born.

Our main focus is on building self-esteem and self-confidence in children and teens. We specialize in teaching kids and provide a positive, non-intimidating, and fun atmosphere for all our self-defence classes. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch their children's progress.

Our convenient kids karate classes run throughout the year, following the school terms. At the end of each term, we hold a grading to celebrate the students' accomplishments. Our goals are achievable and clearly outlined from the beginning of the program.
