"Buyer beware. 1 star is far too good for our so-far ongoing after-sales experience. Outstanding showroom and sales service…..but hope you do not have any issues with your purchased items as the after-sales support is disgusting. We purchased from the Annandale showroom a new Quay Extension Table, and 8 Tuscany II Chairs in August 2022. This was meant to be delivered 2/12/22 however this was changed about 3 times by their service centre. At one stage they told us it would not be until 2023. It was delivered a couple of days before Christmas. The delivery team damaged one of the chairs as they brought it into our dining room. I reported this that same day to their service centre, disappointed but trusting that they would look after their paying customers in a proper, respectful manner. On Christmas day when we had our family and friends over for lunch we found out the table would not extend. We reported the damaged table at their Annandale store in January. It has now taken 7 months of frustration and we have finally taken delivery of the replacement Quay Extension Dining Table. We were expecting a new table, but it appears that we have been given either a returned item, ex-floor stock, or a "seconds" item! It is NOT a new table. It has signs of pre-use. This is the most woeful after-sales service I've ever experienced! And I'm not even getting started on their contact centre and the hoards of lies they provided each time we called to follow up on our "service" case over the past 8 months, but I guess this demonstrates lack of training, but there were a couple of occasions when they were polite and seemingly understanding. After the delivery team left on Friday, I had to go out, but when I returned I started going over the table and identified the following: 1 - The upper side of the table frame on the extension end has scratches (looks like it's been used before). 2 - There are a couple of touch-up paint spots along the top of the extension runner. 3 - At least one leg has imperfections - sort of scratch indentations on it. 4 - The main table top has a small scratch on the top. 5 - One edge of the table top has 2 yellowish stains/streaks on it. 6 - The extension leaf has something that resembles a tiny bristle glued to the top. It could be glue or paint. I haven't had a chance to go over it all as yet. We paid for a new item and they give us a used/seconds item as a replacement?!! Quality Assurance? Respect for the paying customer? And the damaged Tuscany II chair, which I reported first back in December before the table was reported, and was advised at least on 2 separate occasions that it would be delivered late May, has STILL NOT BEEN REPLACED after 8 months!! When we received notification for the table delivery last week, we called the contact centre to find out if it included the chair frame, but the person I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about and said there was no such item. He did eventually find it. We spent over $9,000 on this, and THIS disgusting attempt at taking some sort of responsibility to "correct" their damaged items is the best they can do? Surely someone at King Living was responsible for making the decision to send this to us as a "fair replacement". To me this demonstrates a total lack of respect for their paying customers. Not once have any of their supervisors or managers contacted us. Regarding all this, I am beyond disappointed and frustrated. The first table delivered, besides the track being damaged, was in new condition, but the delivered replacement opens as it should, but is NOT new. We would not pay $1,000 for a new Quay table in the ‘Not-new” condition this one is in. We purchased from King Living in good will. We handed over $9,000 to King Living. We trusted them as a premium retailer of premium quality furniture, expecting premium quality after sales support. In turn King Living disrespected us. I waited 7 months for a replacement of a new table and got something that is not new. It’s “seconds” quality. We are still waiting. Over 8 months now."
"Terrible customer experience.i have been a regular customer and have purchased most of my furniture from this store. This time however the staff on the floor was really rude. We genuinely wanted to purchase the bed, but our experience was pretty disappointing. The lady kept us waiting and kept disappearing. We unfortunately had to walk out of the store."
"I purchased a King Cloud V leather lounge from King. It had an issue which King were very happy to fix. I was very impressed with the level of customer service I received. On the day of the repair Peter and Michael were efficient and very polite. I'll certainly be an advocate for your brand moving forward."
"Absolutely disgusting customer service! Bought a $5000 bed and was delivered with a faulty part. Then I was told that I have to wait 2 months for it to be fixed. I have advised them on every call (there has been many) that I am pregnant and have back issues so cannot be sleeping on the floor for such a long period of time. I requested for this issue to be resolved or to receive a refund so I can go buy another bed from somewhere else. My query has been passed from one person to another and not once has anyone proactively contacted me regarding the issue. I have been following up every day. I was finally told on Friday after I followed up again that a technician will come put the bed together but we just won’t be able to use the storage which is absolutely fine. I requested for this to be done this week and the person on the phone advised that they have requested this for me and will contact me with day and time. Surprise surprise - no call from them. I followed up this afternoon and repeated for the 20th time my situation to be advised that next date for assembly is in 2 -3 weeks! This is absolutely unacceptable. The amount of stress and literal pain this has caused me is not what you’d expect from anyone let alone a company that sells such expensive furniture."
"The most pathetic and disappointing service from such a big company. They are just after money. The experience we received from them is terrible. Our $12000 worth of lounge was dumped in boxes without doing assembly. No body bothered to follow up we we had a assembly or not. We called multiple times to showroom and customer service they push the assembly again and again without notifying us. No one called us back or communicated us since after many emails and call. We paid for deluxe and white glove delivery."
