Welcome to GWS Academy of Classical Ballet & Musical Theatre, located in Richmond, Greater Western Sydney (GWS). Our institution, situated at 26 West Market Street, is a well-established dance school that has been training dancers for over 18 years in the Greater Western Sydney area.

At GWS Academy, we are passionate about teaching the art and love of dance and the performing arts. Our nurturing and non-competitive training environment is designed to cater to dancers of all ages, ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported. We believe in fostering a deep appreciation for the performing arts and strive to instill that same love in our students.

The academy is led by Katrina A Pritchard Stutz, the owner and principal of GWS Academy. With a long career as a performer in Europe and Australia, including being a lead dancer in the Moulin Rouge show Formidable, Katrina brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. She holds a Licentiate in Classical Ballet coaching, a Diploma in Musical Theatre, and certifications in Training and Assessment, as well as Dance Management.

Tatiana Rose Stutz, a founding dancer at GWS, now teaches dancers of all levels, from Petite Chou to Advanced Ballet. Tatiana has completed all her ballet exams and has furthered her professional development at the American Ballet School in New York City. She is also a talented makeup artist and photographer, with a significant following on Instagram. Tatiana is represented by MaxMedia Lab in Australia and is a featured dancer in BelleKat Productions shows.

Ms. Natalie, another dedicated teacher at GWS Academy, has been with us for many years and teaches all levels, specializing in Character and Tap Dance. Her classes are loved by all our students, as she is known for her kindness, support, and ability to bring out the best in every individual.

Ms. Jessie's journey with GWS began when she joined our dance academy at 13 years old. She went on to pursue full-time dance training, earning a BA from Notre Dame University and a Certificate of Dance Teaching with the Royal Academy of Dance. Ms. Jessie is our vibrant and happy teacher, adored by everyone at GWS.

Gabrielle, who has been with GWS since she was 7 years old, has completed all her ballet examinations and is a Cecchetti Scholar. She has also participated in summer intensives at Steps on Broadway in New York City and has performed as a lead singer and dancer in local musicals and show productions. Gabrielle is a featured dancer in BelleKat Productions.

Zarah, a member of GWS since the age of 5, has excelled in contemporary dance and has completed numerous ballet exams and Cecchetti Choreographic Competitions. She is known for her kindness and willingness to help fellow GWS students.

Ms. Jade, who joined GWS at the tender age of 3, has completed many Cecchetti ballet exams. She has also worked as an assistant teacher and teacher in Junior grades at GWS. Jade's infectious happiness, energy, and kindness make her a beloved figure among our students.

Kyah, who has been with GWS since she was a little girl, has successfully completed all her Cecchetti Ballet grades and is a Cecchetti Scholar. She now teaches Grade 1-4 at GWS Dance Academy, embodying gentleness, kindness, and a strong dedication to her students.

In 2023, Elissa will join us as an assistant teacher in Junior Tap, Junior Jazz, and Character Dance. Having been with GWS since childhood, Elissa is a versatile dancer skilled in various styles, particularly excelling in Musical Theatre. Her kind, helpful, and energetic nature makes her a valuable addition to our teaching staff.

Jack, a member of GWS since the age of 5, teaches Junior and Intermediate Jazz and is adored by the kids. He is a talented dancer proficient in all styles and is a featured performer in BelleKat Productions shows.
