Reviews of Western Sydney University Village Hawkesbury
"Hi village team I hope your day is going well. I wanted to appreciate all the assistance I have received throughout the time, before and after my arrival and also during my stay. As I am a PhD student and will be staying for a longer period in the village, my basic necessities have been taken care off well on my due requests. Yes there was some delay in a few things but i understand that in those particular days the University and CLV had just re-opened after the break. Now it has been 20 days after my arrival here in CLV and most of the issues related to apartment and the maintenance have been resolved gradually. Therefore I want to thank the CLV Hawkesbury team STEPH, ALIHAN, ZACC, RUSHINI, SHAHSAD and LAUREN for assisting me all the time till now and in near future. I would like to the rate the assistance as VERY GOOD. WISH U AN AMAZING DAY! Kind Regards Geetika"
"My room was in a 4-bedroom villa for a short term stay. Very quiet and well kept. Clean with all the basic amenities you need. Parking and WiFi does cost extra, but the base price is good which offsets that. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Overall a nice place to stay that I would recommend."
"My family and I stayed in one of the "executive cottages" for 6 months, and it was perfect for us. The house itself was cozy but adequate. It was well-equipped, including furniture, kitchen basics, ceiling fans, a heating a cooling system, and even a natural-gas fireplace (though we didn't use it). It had 2 bathrooms, which was important for my family of 5. The weekly refresh supplied us with clean towels, shampoo, soap, etc. All the staff were amazing and friendly. Lauren and Matt went above-and-beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and responded quickly to any issues that arose. They even gave us a parking spot! The campus is beautiful, with lots of open space and wildlife. We loved sitting on the back deck with a coffee, watching the birds. The shuttle service into Richmond's core was handy (and free). It runs about every 30 minutes during weekdays (but not on weekends). Or you can do the lovely walk in about 25-minutes. The cottage is only about a 15-minute walk to East Richmond station where you can catch a train right into the core of Sydney. It was slightly awkward that the cottage did not have a proper street address. It made it hard to fill out online forms that require an address. And it delayed receiving packages because they were first sent to the Village office. But all-in-all, my family had a wonderful time and made memories we'll cherish our whole lives."
"Beautiful University. But my experience with over the two years I was there are very mixed. Not many activities were organised and I found that they have definitely not cared with certain things and definitely are a bit focused on the money coming in rather than the village people making friends and being able to have fun. My advice which they don't tell you is take pictures of everything when you first move in cause anything you don't they will pin on you cause you have no evidence. They do have cute rooms tho."
"We stayed at one of the 3-bed cottages at the Hawkesbury campus. The house was neat and clean, big enough, and nicely furnished. The cleaning service was regular and did the job very well. Lauren McRae, who we communicated with for the accommodation, was very cooperative and understandable in terms of check-in, check-out time, and facilities related to our stay. And we simply loved the Hawkesbury campus. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cottage on campus. Thank you!"
