Reviews of WAN Ramen
"New nice and chill ramen spot. Karaage was crisp and juicy, and great with a squeeze of lemon. Ordered the sake garlic shoyu pork neck ramen. The broth tasted amazing, tons of umami, maybe a touch too much salt, but it was still really good! The pork neck chashu was a little disappointing because it reminded me of cold cut ham from the deli, but it did taste good, could have used a quick sear from a blowtorch? Noodles were a little too soft to my liking, but they did take up a lot of the flavour from the broth which really carried the bowl. Very reasonably priced too! Overall very satisfied. Will definitely go back and try the pork belly chashu!"
"Decent bowl of noodles. Had the garlic pork Shoyu Ramen and I enjoyed it. Though I also wanted to try the Tonkotsu. It was a good bowl of noodles but there was something about it that reminded me of it being more a Chinese style noodle instead of ramen. The pork neck chashu was pretty tender. Might need to go again to try the other noodles. The crab chawanmushi was very good and Shimesaba wasn't bad either the Wasabi did look a little unusual. Parking is available in the woollies as Street parking here can be impossible sometimes."
"I recently had couple experiences at WAN Ramen. The staff was super friendly and excellent ramen make it a hidden gem worth visiting. Chicken chasu and pork neck chasu is slow cooked(sousvide) which is tender and delicious. Chasu Onigiri was delicious as well. They serve sparkling water on tap. By the way, if you requested hard noodles, asked friendly staff for cooked less one minute on your noodles."
"One of the best ramens I’ve had in Sydney! The Tonkotsu broth and the Chicken broth were great. The sides were delicious too - I got the vinegared mackerel and tsukune and they were both great. Highly recommend!"
"It is a rebranded from WAN to WAN Ramen, and finally knocked down the wall which was quite bad layout before and made the restaurant feels small. Now with the wall gone it much better layout, brighter and feels fresh. They also completely changed their menu and now serving ramen. I tried the tonkotsu and was quite satisfied with the flavours and the noodle. Broth was thick but not overly thick, chasu was tender and flavourful. The noodle was thin noodle and cooked perfectly. They also have shoyu and chicken ramen which I will definitely try next time."
