"Saw a cockroach while in the restaurant. Disgusting. Will report to the council. Cash and Chinese payment methods only. No cards. Why even open a restaurant in Australia if you only accepting Chinese payment methods and cash. Overpriced and food tasted awful. Not the right flavours. Other malatang places have much better flavours. Their ingredients are mostly frozen and not fresh. Avoid this place unless you want to eat with cockroaches."
"I don’t eat out so often now as I am on a medication which dramatically reduce my appetite. As a result I greatly appreciate every eating out experience as for me now eating out is not only about killing hunger, it’s also about enjoying good food with food friends, so I can put in some yummy healthy calories into my body and some good convos with friends into my memory. I visited this hot pot place last night with my friend Ellen, and I ordered a tomato soup base with the foods shown in the posted photo. I added a lot spice, and I loved every sip. The foods were very fresh, and looked clean. I would not give a five star as I do feel their dinning space is a bit crowded, and we had ours sitting outside by the street. They do have AC so that is a plus for me. Also another thing I would mention is there is no minimum amount to purchase, which for me is a huge plus as I do not eat much, most of the contents in the bowl was just soup. I do know some other seemingly fancier hot pot places do require you to purchase over a certain amount. Overall, I would say this is a great place, the only thing could be better is the dinning environment."
"For the first few visits, I always had stomachache after dining here. But I still like to go to this place sometimes as they open until 2am and the malatang is tasty. Also, note that it’s strictly cash only. It’s pretty inconvenient so hope they could improve it."
"There is actually a pretty good selection of contents. More variety than most other malatang places. Gave the fried hot pot a go. I must say the price at $48/kg is a pretty big rip off compared to the $36/kg for malatang options. Aside from the cooking style difference, they add some cheap carrots, onions, peanuts, spring onions, and lots of chillies to the mix. Not worth the price difference. Customer service was a bit curt and they also mixed up the order."
