"They really don't like Aussies here. Hubby and I felt so unwelcome. We recently moved to Eastwood and heard dining around here is amazing so we've been restaurant hopping. The service was terrible for a Chinese establishment. The lady only smiled when it was time to pay the bill and for us to leave. Food was average and took a long time to serve, which was odd seeing as we ordered simple dishes (shredded potato salad, steamed dumplings, etc). All the Chinese guests were seen to attentively and looked after very well. Their food came out piping hot and the ladies were happy to chat with everyone except us. I won't be going back."
"Good service and nice food. The decor and theme is really great too"
"Really nice Northeastern Chinese food! Loved the decor. Waitress was friendly and service was quick. No lines for us, in fact it was quiet. Portion sizes were good and prices were reasonable. Spent $180+ on 8 dishes, 3 heaped bowls of rice, 3 soft drinks and a LARGE bottle of Harbin beer which was refreshing on a hot sunny day. Each dish was tasty and presented nicely. Minus the 1 star only because no one’s cooking can compare to hubby’s northeastern homemade food made with love at home (I may be bias!) LOL"
"Very delicious restaurant serving authentic Northern Chinese cuisines. The menu has a large variety with plenty of very unique and delicious dishes. The decor is quite unique and interesting replicating 90’s classical vibes - an interesting and fun experience backed by delicious food."
"We recently have a late lunch at this relatively new restaurant to try their China north-eastern dishes. We ordered their signature crispy pork fillet (guo pau rou), stir-fried cauliflower and braised beef tendons with shallots. They're quite good dishes, especially the pork fillets and the beef tendons while the cauliflowers are just average dish. On a second visit, we also ordered other dishes like fried sauerkreut pork dumplings, stir-fried veggie with egg, stir-fried vermicelli with pickled cabbage and braised eggplant with beef tendons. They're all not bad but also not great, just average dishes with unique taste from the region The ambience and decor of the places are good and the menu prices are reasonable. However, I have big problem with the service from floor-staff. First, they have limited English understanding but luckily the order system using the tablet has English description for all menu items. Secondly, their services are quite rude since they're trying to rush-out our order and our payment of the bill. I understand that it was close to their closing time but there're other 4 tables also which were still having their lunch but they kept coming to remind us to pay our bill quickly. Thirdly, they have 3% credit-card surcharge policy which is an outright robbery and a blatant attempt to force customers paying with cash to avoid paying tax. As much as I enjoyed their food, this place is hard to be on my favourite place list."
