Gallipoli Park
About the Business
Welcome to Gallipoli Park, located in the picturesque town of Marysville, Victoria, within the Murrindindi Shire. This establishment is not just your ordinary park, but a true point of interest and a testament to resilience and community spirit.
After the devastating Black Saturday bushfires in 2009, Gallipoli Park underwent a remarkable $1.8 million redevelopment. This transformation created a haven for locals and visitors alike, with a range of amenities and attractions that make it a must-visit destination.
One of the highlights of Gallipoli Park is the state-of-the-art Kin Playspace. Designed to captivate the imaginations of children, this playground features an array of equipment that will keep little ones entertained for hours. From an elevated sandpit to slides, a roundabout, rope climbing net, flying foxes, and swings, there is something for every child to enjoy.
As you enter the park, you will be greeted by the serene and contemplative Reflective Garden. This beautifully designed area serves as the main entrance to Gallipoli Park and features a charming gazebo and "garden rooms" where visitors can find tranquility and solace in nature.
One of the most striking features of Gallipoli Park is the New Life Sculpture. Created by the talented local artist Bruno Torfs, this permanent installation symbolizes the renewal and rebirth of the community after the devastating fires. It stands as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of the people of Marysville.
In addition to its natural beauty and recreational facilities, Gallipoli Park also boasts a Community Centre complex. This versatile space is perfect for sporting groups, events, functions, and special occasions. Whether you're planning a community gathering, a sports tournament, or a memorable celebration, the Community Centre can accommodate your needs.
Gallipoli Park is more than just a park. It is a place where nature and art intertwine, where children can play and explore, and where the community can come together to create lasting memories. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Marysville, a visit to Gallipoli Park is a must for anyone seeking tranquility, inspiration, and a connection to the indomitable spirit of the Australian people.

"Beautiful playground memorial to victims of 2012 bushfire is stunning trails walks bridges flying fox for bigger kids. Must do when visiting Marysville picnic tables too"
"We had a short walk through the park and were seriously impressed by the size of the park and the different options in how the park could be utilised. This park is definitely built for families and kids in mind. With bbq areas, grassy knolls to lay a picnic rug out with heaps of shade, pathways to take a stroll on, and swings and play equipment. I am sure I didn't even see everything. But I would recommend bringing the kids here for a driving break or a planned lunch or dinner. Even a birthday party would go down well here. There are toilets next to the carpark, which is a couple of steps away from the park itself. It's not far to any one of the multiple cafes or hotel to go and have a meal if you want. Hope you enjoy it."
"What a lovely place to be at... Clean and tidy all around. Toilet facilities so clean and tidy. Barbecue facilities so clean that you see your face in it. That's amazing for a public place. Go there and shops around so close."
