Reviews
"The blaring music was so loud that the front of house staff can't correctly take a food order. Several mistakes made with order and lack of communication and customer skills to rectify the issue. We were the only patrons in the restaurant and the food arrived luke warm at best. Highly recommend that the staff receive some basic training to do their jobs correctly, with less of a focus on switching up their playlist and blasting terrible music. The vibes were low."
"Best burger shop in Maroondah area. Care taken in preparation. It may take a bit longer for your burger to be made, but you can be assured it's fresh and we'll prepared. Chips are always hot and never soggy. Range for the kids, big eaters and those who just want a snack. My choice - "a mad scheme" with a side of sweet potato fries. A large range of dips for the chips if that's your angle. Price is a little up there, but, it's worth it."
"Not a nice place to eat. Sign on door says "keep closed" but the door blows open anyway. Kitchen staff were swearing loudly, shouting to each other, playing loud music that was competing with front of house music. The inside setup is weird - so much space with so few tables - it's like they're basically a dark kitchen. Lots of delivery drivers coming and going so pretty much confirms that theory. Chips are pretty nice. Burger was pretty average considering the cost."
"We LOVE Mad Patties. It’s our Go-To meat-free burger place. Also, the onion rings are an 11/10 - so delicious."
"Burger: I got the Mad Benji and it was decent. Probably slightly more cooked that I would go for and too much sauce for my liking. But still enjoyable. Chips: Perfect crispiness. The loaded fries were also good with guac, bacon and sour cream Onion rings: Great size for sharing and also perfect crispiness. Shake: I had a Salted Peanut Butter. It was good but ask for extra ice cream if you want it nice and thick. This place gets four stars because while the burger wasn't the best I've tried in the area, they are friendly staff and open longer hours on weeknights than most other places nearby. Decent ambience for a sit down burger on a weeknight too. Probably pricier than I would like but that seems to be how much burgers cost these days."
