Suwan Thai Restaurant has been a part of the Lower Plenty landscape for over 26 years. We started serving the local community and our many happy customers at our old site at 63 Main Road. In 2009, we moved to larger premises across the road at 82 Main Road. After extensive renovations, we now offer our valued customers a large, air-conditioned restaurant with ample parking and improved service and facilities.

Our new and larger premises feature a completely new and expanded kitchen and bar area, as well as new decor and surroundings. We hope that these updates will make your evening at our restaurant even more enjoyable and pleasant.

Please be aware that a surcharge of $10 per person will apply to bookings for groups of 8 or more, for each person who does not turn up, unless numbers are confirmed 2 hours prior to the booking time. We also reserve the right to cancel or sell the table of any booking that has not arrived within 30 minutes after the booking time.

We take pride in being considered the best Thai restaurant in Melbourne. Woody, the owner, will try to accommodate any request. If you ask, you can get real "Bangkok" Thai food. Our pricing is very reasonable, and we also have a great takeaway business.

By far, our restaurant is the favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Our curries are exceptional, with the perfect combination of vegetables, sauce, and spices. We have tried many other Thai places, but their curries just never quite compare.

Our loyal customers have been eating here for years and years, and the food just keeps getting better. Some even come all the way from Yarra Glen because it consistently remains the best Thai restaurant they've been to.
