"Love the Parma with gravy and coleslaw salad is a nice side!! I did love the old fire place was sad it’s gone, I feel like a better version of your new one would lift the ambience back up to where it was."
"A lovely pub in the area. The food is a bit $$ but generous portions and tasty. We had two items from the specials menu - fish pie and steak and the steak was delicious! The fish pie was good but no where as nice as the steak. Love the local pub feel and worth a visit if staying in the area. Gets quite busy so suggest to book ahead."
"Went to see a gig here with family. Had never heard of the artist. Wasn't my cup of tea. They offered pizzas and they took forever and weren't too great. I've heard the main restaurant is great and hope to visit it at some point."
"What a great find. Old school British pub with some traditional beers on tap. We sat in there beer garden, it was great for the kids to run around."
"Dined here; a traditional British pub with a nice historical tavern décor and a beer garden perfect for a warm sunny day. Had the following from the menu: - Chicken Parma; portion size was great for value; crumb coating was standard but the meat was thick and tender, and the tomato sauce with bits of sweet onion and herb seasoning, topped with a good amount of cheese was very tasty. The side of coleslaw was very good with the rocket leaves mixed in, giving it a fresh taste. Chips were alright - Beef and Guinness pie; baked in a ramekin with a flaky puff pastry top; beef chunks were tender though some pieces needed a bit more flavour to penetrate. Mash potato was creamy and slightly buttery - Garlic bread; made using a white cob bread, freshly baked with a crusty exterior. The centre was soft with a rich garlicky and buttery flavour; very tasty Overall a delicious and hearty meal; warm atmosphere with friendly and accommodating service from the staffs."
