"Strongly recommended to visit if you are staying around Melbourne! The way they exhibit is unique and interesting. They exhibit not only bones, stones but also alive insects and fishes. There are plenty of species and variety of specimens. Of course children can enjoy the exhibition but adults also can enjoy it. A$15 entrance fee really worth it!"
"Wonderful atmosphere to have a relaxed walk. So many things to explore and it will take the whole day for sure. The historic and pre historic sections is the highlight of the showcases. With the projections and screens, they have taken it to next level with detailed narrations. The sections showcasing the rich cultural history of Australia is also a great hall to be discovered. Since its free for students, not much burden as well."
"amazing natural history and biodiversity displays. was amazed at their dinosaur bones and insect collections. very good for kids and adults alike who are interested in nature. exhibits on the first peoples and the history of Melbourne was really interesting too. could easily spend one entire day here. free entry for students! I will be coming back for sure :)"
"Great place to disappear for hours. So many areas with really interesting and well put together collections. I've added a picture of the lockers which are not mentioned anywhere on the website and are a must for travellers as we were. They are free and have various sizes perfect for on the way to or from airport with luggage. Reasonable entry price and the cafe had heaps of food selections again well priced."
