Our menu pays homage to European traditions while echoing the spirit of the Mornington Peninsula. We merge classic French techniques with modern minimalism to create a selection of contemporary classics that champion high-quality ingredients sourced from passionate local growers and producers.

Indulge in our multicourse set menu, featuring eight memorable dishes crafted with creative flair. For an elevated experience, our local wines can be expertly matched to each course. To complete the meal, you have the option to add an indulgent cheese and caviar course. As a personal parting gift, handmade chocolates created on-site are presented to diners to take home and enjoy.

Please note that a smart to formal dress code is required at Cape. Our tasting menu options include 5 courses at $160pp, 8 courses at $190pp, or 3 courses at $110pp on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You can also enjoy wine pairing for an additional $90pp.

Allow me to share a bit about myself, as the Head Chef of Cape. Some of my earliest memories are of standing in the kitchen next to my father, who was one of France's many Michelin Star chefs. Growing up in France's legendary culinary scene, it was natural for me to follow in his footsteps. I learned the basics of French cuisine and the importance of working with the highest quality ingredients.

After honing my skills in Paris and working in two high-profile Michelin Star restaurants, I migrated to Australia. However, in 2018, I couldn't resist the opportunity to return to Europe and take up a prestigious position as the Senior Sous Chef at Marcus in London's iconic Berkeley Hotel. Under the guidance of Chef Marcus Wareing, I refined my craft and reignited my passion for fine dining.

Now, as the Head Chef of Cape, my focus is on creating an innovative seasonal menu that showcases the freshest produce from Australian growers. I am excited to share traditional French dishes reimagined into modern classics with Australian diners.

In addition to Cape Restaurant, we also have other dining options within our institution. Samphire boasts stunning views of the bay and offers a contemporary Australian menu designed for sharing, focusing on seasonal local and regional produce. Mantellina provides a relaxed, family-friendly cafe experience with an Italian-influenced menu, offering snacks, stone-baked pizza, and a la carte all-day dining. The Cape Bar and Terrace offers a seasonal menu of snacks and light meals, along with our handpicked selection of local and premium branded drinks.
