Mentone Veterinary Hospital has a rich history in the Melbourne community, serving the needs of pets and their owners since the 1950s. Many of our long-standing clients remember our humble beginnings in a shop premises at 94 Nepean Highway. Throughout the years, we have evolved into a modern hospital, and in December 1999, we moved to our purpose-built facility at 19 Balcombe Road.

"Not my normal vets but my dog Harvey was hit by a car and Mentone vets was the closest. Rosie the vet on duty and her staff were wonderful. They took Harvey from my arms and explained what they were going to do .. sedate, X-rays and ultrasound to see if any injuries. They rang me twice during the day to let me know how he was going. Last call was the best news .. no breaks but bad bruising & swelling. He was walking, eating, drinking and most of all wagging his tail. Rosie and staff I can’t thank you enough on how you calmed us both down. We got through the night and he is walking slowly today around the house. And that tail is wagging! Thank you for your care and dedication. Thoroughly recommend this vet."
