Never felt rushed and just the right amount of time between each of the courses. The food was delicious and left full by the end of the night. "Celebrated my 60th birthday here with close friends. Had the three course dinner and paired wines were arranged by the sommelier, which was greatly appreciated. Also had the additional oyster and caviar starter. Fabulous night and dinner and a great celebration"
"We had our first expectation dinner here, high expectations, however it’s a little bit disappointing, since dishes pretty average could be seen in most fine dining restaurants, here are the details: For 7 courses menu, starter was pretty good, we actually surprised by it, with adding muti-layers into the dish it strike us with the taste, what is surprisingly good was the main dish, Duck. It’s tender and tasteful. But unfortunately, most of the meals are very mediocre, with radishes and acidic garnishes that can be found in almost all restaurants, and the intervals between dishes are too long to see the guests' appetite gradually worn out in mediocre expectations. For service: It is absolutely unacceptable to serve the wrong dish(drink) to a guest since it’s a HAT restaurant. This is a low-level mistake that we have not encountered in any of the fine dining restaurants in Melbourne, and often in such cases the chef needs to come out and apologize for his choice of waiter or waitress. Also unacceptable for staff who couldn’t fully express the creativity of the dish by simply referring it as “turnip”, this kind of thing ruins the creation of chef’s idea. For atmosphere: great spot and decorations! Brings us into the vibe, and it is a calming atmosphere. Modernist style makes a stylish statement. Overall, not recommend as a Hat, but as a restaurant, it is outstanding!"
