Reviews
"Service was very good. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food was ok. Squid is a bit over cooked but overall was pretty good. Love the salad in there. Very fresh, crunchy and juicy"
"3.5/5 (7/10) Unfortunately the menu is so extensive that the flavours have been negatively impacted. Tried a couple of different dishes: duck sushi lacked flavour (and overpowered by the sweet sauce/glaze on the serving plate); king prawn with salted egg yolk batter was tasty but batter was soggy; grilled squid was slightly over cooked and therefore chewy"
"Very disappointed with the food. Way too salty bento box and ramen dishes. Meant to be Japanese but tasted more like Chinese. The burger was ok and sushi/sashimi was ok, but the bigger dishes just disappointed. When I told the waitress that the fish was too salty, she said she would tell the kitchen but that was it. Pictures in menu are flattering and actual dishes didn't look similar. Not surprised that the neighboring restaurants are way more popular."
"Dined here last night. The largest menu I have ever seen for a Japanese restaurant. It took us a while to order. The servings were generous and everything was delicious. Only downside was there was no ice cream available for dessert. Staff were really friendly and the food came out pretty fast. We got the discount through the Fork so it was unbelievable value."
"Hiroya Japanese Restaurant was a real surprise gem of a find! Being enticed to dine here via Eat Club was probably one of the best decisions we ever made! The restaurant offers fresh and delicious Japanese food on a HUGE menu! There is so much variety and something is bound to catch your eye! The seafood ingredients were fresh and tasty and all dishes were presented in a beautiful way. Our waitstaff were also very helpful and accommodating towards any requests we had and were very generous towards us. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed."
