"Look SASH is NOT the cheapest. But I believe they might be the best vets, vet surgeons and specialists in Australia. So if you want the best and the highest success rates and are willing to pay (maybe double) then these are the vets for you. My french bulldog Batman had an emergency spinal injury starting on a Friday night. Most vets were closed, let alone having a specialist surgeon on staff and ready to operate. Luckily SASH North Ryde was open and Dr Alex operated Saturday afternoon. Batman was in recovery and walking (a bit wobbly) and going toilet unassisted by Monday. He still had feeling in his toes but was paralysed. If we had waited till Monday when other vets opened who knows what condition he could have been in and if it would have even been worth operating. I don't even have to consider that because Dr Alex at SASH was incredible. He operated on a Saturday night and even called me at 10pm on his way home to let me know the operation was a success. And then called me again Sunday morning bright and early to keep me updated on his progress. Batman is now home safe and happily recuperating. It is expensive and I never want to go back, but the staff are incredible and the level of care is second to none. Worth every penny. But take it from me, get pet insurance and keep it! So you can afford to get the best care for your loved one. Even though I saved $100 monthly for my pets. I would have never saved enough to cover this surgery. Batman's only 3."

"When our bird Max was very sick our vet recommended we take him to see Dr Melinda Cowan who specialises in avian veterinary. Our guy was very sick with serious injuries. With special care and around the clock attention our guy was back to himself after a couple of weeks at SASH. The staff here are amazing. From the ladies at the front desk, the doctors and the nurses we really appreciate the care and attention Max received. With daily phone call updates, photos and videos while Max was in their care, it eased our minds. Thank you very much Dr Melinda, Dr Janet, Dr Natalia and all the nurses who helped our guy get back to full health."

"The staff at SASH are wonderful. Our beloved Ruby was being taken care of by Dr Courtney Ludwig for an autoimmune disease and was doing very well. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, Ruby presented with kidney failure and was admitted to hospital. She received the best care and treatment any pet owner could want. Not only was she treated with superior professional knowledge, but she was also, above all, treated with dignity and love. During Ruby's stay in hospital, I was kept informed regularly of her condition and advised accordingly. All the vets, nurses and administration staff were always mindful of our feelings and the whole process of euthanizing Ruby was carried out with dignity and respect. We were able to spend as much time as we wished with her before she passed away. Thank you to everyone at SASH for taking care of our Ruby when she needed it most."
