"The place was located in a perfect spot walking distance to everything you need the room was clean and a good size had a city view which was beautiful didn’t have any issues with noise of the train when the balcony door was closed the bed was comfortable would recommend staying here you do have to pay $35 for parking but that isn’t that bad since it is Secure Parking and you pay for parking everywhere in Melbourne these days so it is quite cheap for what it is"

"Lovely clean room. Couple of things stopping it being 5 stars all the way, was having to pay for the parking in the building and no English breakfast tea. Otherwise great place to stay."

"Had 2 rooms booked, room one had a foul smell and had to request someone to go up and freshen it up. One of the shared bedrooms had a corner window with a bed pushed into it, slept the other bed to move away from mould that was around the whole window frame. Beds were very comfortable tho. I feel it’s rated to high for the overall cleanliness"

"Overall, good stay here. Really nice entranceway. Great location albeit a bit of noise from the trains form South Yarra station. Also, a few items not working in the kitchenette, back stove element, oven, these were reported to the reception."

"Location is amazing in South Yarra and I've stayed in Punthill South Yarra Grand for my special occasion for 7 days in Australia from Europe. The room was tired but just a few maintenance issues but It has some positive highlighted moments for me. I remembered Front Office Manager Marco has been absolutely amazing and he is a superstar in the Front Office. He is one of the most happiest, friendly and kind person. His smile is a killer and worked under pressure. A seamless check-in and out from his professional customer service and he has spent time to understand what we needed and suggested where to go for dinner in South Yarra. He knew the area extremely well. Although it has some maintenance issues in room - Marco has managed and handled it professionally and my family and I were impressed and fixed it by him. I understand Punthill is not a 5 stars luxury hotel - Marco was able to provide a 5 stars luxury standards for my special day especially when we were seating in the lobby and he has given a can of fruity apple sparkling water and water for us while we were waiting for my Uber . Marco has honestly made a lasting impression and he is definitely a hotel talent. I hope to seeing him next time when I come back to Melbourne.
